Thanks for the tip to teleport to the flightmasters, I never thought of that, but it only works in one place per zone.

I don't think you can teleport zone-to-zone because it teleports based on the map coordinates... so if you try to teleport to the upper left corner of some other map, you'll teleport to the upper left corner of your current map. At least that's what it's been doing for me.

Every single time I've gone into a scenario while in a BO I get sent back to the warcamp, so I don't think this is possible and anyone that knows this will figure it out that you teleported there. Also, there are times where if you move while/right after teleporting it's actually pretty obvious you teleported. I've seen it a few times in Scenarios and it's horrible... I don't know why anyone would teleport in a scenario.

I'd be more careful, don't just assume people don't know what's going on and teleport freely... it'll get you reported faster and it'll bring more attention to these hacks, and we definitely don't want that.

As others have said, don't abuse LoS in Scenarios, don't lock your speed in scenarios so you don't get slowed, and do your best to teleport to unpopulated areas/places on the map that seem like there would be no one there. It's not good to get in the habit of teleporting directly in the middle of a ton of people, so I'd suggest taking the extra 5 seconds and teleporting close to your destination rather than directly on it and walk the rest of the way.

I dont think you can teleport in scenarios. Atleast I couldn't. I'd just put me under the world then I'd respawn back at the respawn point.

The few times I've seen it was all from the same person and he kept appearing out of no where while running in the middle of battles. He wasn't getting rezzed and he wasn't a BW... so I'm not sure what it is. I've never tried to teleport in scenarios but I believe you if they don't work... I wonder what that BW was doing then :P

It's possible if you save your location and teleport to that location.
Clicking on map to teleport will most likely not work (you'll fall underground).
Also the resurrection hack most likely works as well.

I wouldn't telehack in scenarios though, with 20 players around you and all..

map teleport in scenarios is possible. but i did not have the time to really try to implement it. but its a bad idear anyhow, as you would have to leave all groups, so nobody sees your mapblip jump around.

Mapping a pin location at the flightmaster is a good idea - another way to do it is to die near various chapters and set another pin at the nearby chapter outpost or city location as a rez spot.

What im curious about is what it looks like when you appear or disappear - do you get the same flying looking effect you see when people use the flight master or do you simply vanish.

Sorry last question - how would you dual box off the same computer? Do you need to launch 2 separate patch executables? When I click on the patcher and try to login a second char on a second account I just get an error and booted back to desktop. Thanks.

Re: LOS issues - I use the LOS stuff pretty liberally, but as a healer doing rezzes, that can look crazy suspicious if you don't know where the person actually is, lol.

My girlfriend and I teleport all over the place for quests. When one teleports out and the other remains what the remaining person sees is the persons toon standing still for about 15-30 seconds and then it disappears.

Edit: this is only when you teleport out of range of the person. If you teleport in range the transition is near instant.

Think past the flight master. There is a rally master at every camp..... Hence you are just using your book of binding to get there as far as I am concerned! twocents If you are super lazy just teleport to target though that is more obvious.

When it comes to scenarios, I hope no one decides to implement that as it will lead to something happening. To me, that is the most enjoyable part of the game (well when i win tbh!) and the basics give us more than enough edge to be on the top of the lists. Too much of a good thing!!!!

I have been on a break from the game since I had some tests.... *sigh* Can't wait to log back in and futz around some more.

Just saw Pharmers post as I was finishing this as well. Is there any indication of Link Death in the game? If not that is actually rather helpful when zooming long distances.. unless they gate right to where you were porting too... oops! Again this is going off the general idea that people aren't constantly doing /who on you but in a case like this,I normally assume they lost their internet connection.

right-click and make sure it's not locked, then click above or below the button and drag, there is an invisible window that borders the button.

yes, its possible. either with the dll or with lua alone. you can either use the distance in client coordinates or convert it to feet by dividing by 12.
If you can't figure out how to do a 3-dimensional pythagoras, i'am sure you can't do anything usefull with the distance.
