I combined 4 exotic lvl 80 pistols and got a different kind of exotic lvl 80 pistol. I suppose you just need a bit of luck.

because thwey are going to ban you for buying an vendor item?
there are many items that have different prices..

some buff food for 50 karma and in the human city the same for 3 silver...
reported it in the beta still in so guess its normal...
so nope dont think there gonna ban cause the price is different lol

There is something called common sense. 9k karma items going for 21 karma, they can and probably will remove these items, a ban i'm not sure, but a rollback of items of some sort will be in place. They ban people for saying **** by pro-actively scanning chat logs :P and you think they wont ban for something like this which obviously is not normal.

Did this multiple times, yet didn't get anything above exotic, usually ends up with another lvl 80 exotic.

These are game breaking exploits, huge personal gain, and it will saturate the market for some time on those lvl weapons.
