doesn't matter how good the storyline/graphics is when the movement, combat and physics generally are shit and sluggish.

    biggest fail 2014 indeed.

May I ask guys. What's the core of the game? I mean - has it good end game content?

I enjoy the game. It brings a breath of fresh air to the MMO genre. I dont find the combat system to be sluggish or awkward. I am not sure why people say it is? Of course it is much different than other MMO's, but to correlate different to being outright bad is nonsensical.

WoW killer? No. No MMO will ever beat WoW. People have spent on the upwards of a decade playing the game (myself included). But, if you like MMO's, then I suggest trying ESO.

The only MMO coming up the the near future that will be a WoW killer.. is Titan.. err Project Titan, or whatever its going by these days, as they dont have a official name release for WoW 2.0 yet..

Not getting why someone would complain about combat either, it's almost 1:1 like combat in Morrowind / Oblivion / Skyrim - and it's f**n awesome.
Nothing compared to that nerdy-hitting thousand of buttons in wow or other mmo's.

Haven't been able to play for too long yet, but so far I really enjoy it, I love how it's not as cartoonish as WoW (even tho it's still bit cartoonish compared to other Elder Scrolls).
Full voice over is awesome too, hearing all the noises and chats in the city, instead of just walking around completely quiet huge ass towns in WoW.
And choices in quests... I wasn't even expecting to see that, but you're actually able to to finish like one every 3 quests in 3 different ways... .You're actually able to make some decisions there.

Also all the small things like bankers telling you to not stand behind them, not being able to see quest npc's of other players (which was ridiculous in wow when npc says smth like "oh you're the only one who can help!" and you see 4 copies of him saying exact the same thing to other ppl) etc - it all really makes it a very nice experience.

It's just a first impression, but so far I have to say TESO > WoW

As stated earlier, it is a breath of fresh air. I don't despise the combat. I would say "sluggish" is an overstatement, however it does seem a little slow. Yeah everyone apparently hates wow fans for saying wow is amazing, but there is one undoubtedly good thing about it that I don't see a single mmo emulate, how fast and immediate the combat is. I hit my spell in Eso and I have to wait over a second. WoW is the only game I've seen so far that was BAM, you hit the button and it happened.

People in beta were saying the game was bare, that it was a big world but no npcs or things happening. I kinda see it, but its not as terrible as it was exclaimed.

One big issue is the visual cues. I was just out of the starting area, and my quest told me to talk to someone at the dock. She wasnt at the marker, she was really, really far away from it in my book. Soon after that, I had three or so quests, they told me it was through a door. I go through the door, and apparently my quests are...back through the door I went through. Also, give quest givers an icon of some sort. I found it kind of annoying that one named npc will just be like "Yo.", and then the other named npc that you could have easily just passed by is a quest giver.

I like the spell/ability system, how you choose which way to build your character via points, and how abilities "morph" into new ones.

But overall, the worst thing I've seen about the game so far, is, no auction house. Seriously? I'm a gatherer in MMO's, I love jumping in and gathering a shit ton of things to then sell and give me a little edge in finances. I work full time, I don't have time to keep "WTS"ing while jumping around a town for an hour for my iron to sell. And beyond that, as a new player, I don't know what to sell my items for! At least with a AH, there was established pricing. As a new player, you could gather 100 [material], check the ah, and see that they go for roughly X. Yeah theres "Merchant Guilds", but that's just an even longer "WTS" spree in my book. I WTS in zone chat, no one hits me up. What makes you think an even smaller chat of 50 people are going to? *sigh* I am new though. I'm like level seven. I'm sure I will get used to it, but something I love about MMO is the marketing/economy, and it seems to not be there [at this point, because as I said, I'm only like level seven].

I loved Oblivion and Skyrim. And I'm sort of feeling what some people said, that it feels like a very cheap Skyrim. lol. That's the downside I suppose to making single player games with that level of immersion and then transitioning to MMO.

Definitely not a wow killer. It is what it is. Even though I love Elder Scrolls, I think I may actually enjoy Wildstar more. However, the game is not as bad as many say. I'm trying to finish my homework so that I can eagerly log back in.

EDIT: One thing I want to add, is that I'm getting a similar vibe from SWTOR: It feels very single player for an MMO.

Well that's just not true, rogue, monk, warrior or retri pala can fight like that, but lock, mage, balance druid etc etc fight mainly by using casting spells. And it's exactly the same with ESO, some spells are instant some need to be cast... (and yeah, you also hit the button and it instantly happens xD)

definitely smth that have to be fixed, and likely will, as for first week of the game I'd it still say it got super small amout of bugs

Well, that's the whole beauty of it, you're not being hold by hand, it's 16+ game, not 12+ after all (it used to be exactly the same in skyrim and everyone loved it )

Overall it's really just not the same thing as WoW, they just made "Elder Scrolls Online" and that's exactly what it is - Elder Scrolls, but online

The only question is if it was a smart move, to make non-nerdy game in nerdy convention (since Skyrim was more of a game for "hardcore playa's" with 10 pics on their facebook with xbox controller, while MMO's are more for... well, no-lifes like us xD).

Ppl who play wow, will keep playing WoW, since nerds hate changes (even in WoW!), and typical Hardcore Playa just won't bother to pay monthly for one game.

So yeah, sadly might be a lost effort, but we'll see in upcoming months

Oh yeah, I understand that its supposed to be different, and not emulate WoW to a tee. Just because I state things that I like about WoW, its not me wanting other games to be like wow, its just things that wow did that I like. I have yet to play other classes, but as templar, spells that I figured would be auto, sure do seem to take some time. Maybe the melee more physical classes are faster.

I get the concept of them not holding your hand. I would prefer that over the game being so easymode, such as things in wow like hunters not needing to buy ammo anymore (sigh). However, some things that make the game tougher are also just a pain. They can make the grind to 50 insane. They can make combat so tough that it makes people quit. I'm okay with those things. I just personally don't want to spend the amount of time they want me to talking through dialogs to hunt for quests. But I get it.

I was just pointing things out, wasnt trying to bash the game; overall the game is pretty nice, better than SWTOR was for me.

I would gladly pay for a year right now if they would add an AH though..
