How to Give db acess

okay my friend has his own server
but we dont know how to give people db acess to Navicat
PLEASE BE SPECIFIC!!!!!! about everything..

What you do is they hit "Manager users"
add new user

Then they enter the username and password they want the person to use
Then it will ask for their host address you can put % for any ip to be able to connect or the persons exact ip
hit okay
then select user in the left
here is where you set their access if you want them to have full power hit select all then hit save
If you dont want them to have a certian power uncheck it!


THE DEV THEIR ADDING DOES THIS \/
The person your giving access
right clicks under connections area hits "New connection"
A box opens

The connection name doesnt matter
The host name is the IP of the person the database is hosted on
Username and password is what the host set earlier

i mean like...
my friend doesnt know wat to put as host.
his realmlist?
his external ip?
his enternal ip?
and when i connect what do i put as connection host
realmlist?
his ip?
