no, they NEVER ban by IP or computer. the only type of ban blizzard uses is by CD KEY. claims of "IP bans / Computer ID / Mac Address / SLIC Bans" are 100% misinformation

(if they banned by IP, mac, or SLIC the botting problem would vanish. think about it. they don't really want bots to vanish... they want them to keep buying new accounts. they want to keep taking there cut from the sales. blizzard makes coin off botters. they don't want that to vanish, they just want to keep it scary to the average user, and under enough control that the economy doesn't tank)
