You got banned? Your friend was not? Here is the answer why bli$$ ban in waves.

I have one clue why Bli$$ isn't banning all botters at once. It's very simple.

They actually can detect if you bot or not by number of games creation and eg. sarkoth kill counter, or gold looted per day. They have such numbers on their site, because its just in game features. NO MATTER IF YOU USE AUTOIT NON MEMORY WRITE SCRIPT OR TRUE BOT WITH MEMORY WRITING. They don't have to check this ATM.

So lets say they have huge list of all botters in region US, EU and ASIA. ALL OF THEM - i will be able to do that in 2 minutes investigating database with games creation and gold looted tables.

So why they don't ban them all in one wave to get rid of botters "problem"?

Its all about $$$.

If they will ban all botters - many many of them will end with this game saying: "ok they can detect me botting, there is no point for rebuy my accounts, cause they can ban me before i can get invested money back". Huge number of people abandoning the game and not rebuying d3 = loss for bli$$, less RMAH auctions and fees - botters will sell good items for less money than real hand farmer - and its good for game economy because people will definetly buy this underpriced item, and bli$$ wil got their fee.

If they ban in waves (as they do now) - they giving you feeling of that you can stay "undetected", and silently bot for months. Even you got banned, you still read on forums of many peoples running 20 accounts 24/7 for 2 months with no bans! It's VERY BIG motivation for banned person to try again. "Maybe this time they will not see me, and i will farm for one month what is very profitable". So you buy 5 new d3 keys and bli$$ earns money for this. And going further, you are selling gold/items on rmah etc.

Banning in waves is just random pickup from their list with execution on mainetance time. And there is no factor like "i don't want to get banned, i will go offline with my bots every friday and return on sunday so they dont see me". That's wrong thinking. My friend got banned two days ago and he was using autoit sarkoth script for 7 days (about 12 hours a day) but 3 weeks ago (in these 3 weeks he was actually playing this shitty game, he was just botting for buy gear for new characters).

Why after last ban wave they did not enable game creation limit counter? Same shit - give time for botters to rebuy accounts in feelinf that "it will pay back until they enable this, probably next friday".

BLI$$ IS DOING THIS ANTI-BOTTERS ACTIONS ONLY TO SHOW LEGITIMATE PLAYERS THAT THEY CARE ABOUT THEM AND CARE ABOUT FAIR PLAY. But we all know that botters are good for bli$$ pocket and for game economy. People don't like play games when others can cheat - so they feel good when bli$$ ban another 500 accounts every week (phew! what is 500-1000 out of 100k botting accounts?) or announcing re-enabling game creation limit (but not enabling it at all).

Diablo 3 is just shit game and bli$$ already know that - so they trying to pump as much money as they can until it dies. 2 months after realease of game, only 2 of 35 my guild mates still playing diablo 3. And prices of gold are going down - but the real problem is that demand for gold is going down too. People just realize that this game is about buying gear because you can forget about farming it for yourself (because you can get banned haha).

I'm not rebuying my accounts - i could earn still with that, but there is some chance that they will ban me too early and fact this game is dying slowly.

I want to add pool to see how many people were rebuying their accounts after being banned, but i cant find it

nah economy is well lubricated now, they don't have much need for botters atm, maybe in a month or two they will be ok with botting again

They already said they are planning to turn the game creation limit back on in the next patch

I believe they are banning from astrology and because they believe in that crap. However that is just my thesis, but what are all these threads good for? therefore, no rep from me :P

I wonder how much money blizz makes out of each banned account. 1kk sells for 2,5€ on rham, not to mention all stuff we had on accounts. Nice weekly bonus for some of employees.
