The price is going to move no matter what Blizzard does. If it keeps decreasing, as it will if nothing changes, more transactions will take place out of the RMAH, so both players that use the RMAH to buy and sell and Blizzard will lose. Let the market decide what's the gold price.
if i could sell for 0.25 on rmah i wont sell it to resellers for 1$ ,
the resellers lose their supliers
they have more orders than they can sell , so price goes up , but never above what you can get from ah
it's more profitable than without minimum price on rmah
p.s
if blizzard keep banwave every week , and they will apply gamelimits , we will se gold price for more then 0,25
sold 300m fine on the AH so far, from US. there will always be players that prefer just to buy straight from blizz on the AH, as long as there are players ofc. if popular mmo sites are actually selling to the public for 1/2 or 1/3 the price though, that may change (it has to be a very significant price difference). but with the way blizz are cracking down on bots, and since demand for gold on the AH is healthy, i don't know where gold resellers will continue getting their supply from, only AH botters make fast enough profit that it might be worth it for them, but from what I've seen even AH botting profit has gone way down for most.
Strategy: may have to do with when i put the auctions, since they are 1 day 12 hrs, i set it up so the auction closes at around 5-7PM EST (8-10PM PST). that way when it comes my turn to have the highest chance of my gold being available on the AH (the last 4 hours of the auction), it will also be the most popular time people are buying. these two factors work together and it has been quite successful. the gold has always sold out so far.
hope that helps some of you.
