This seems to be reoccurring.

Maybe they are looking whether you spent time progressing through inferno? Was your older account played normally until you started botting?

I mean if they see accounts where character was leveled to 60 and then just does Sarkoth non-stop, its an easy way to narrow down the accounts considerably and start monitoring the smaller portion size.

No, sadly it seems not to work like this. On 1 of my 2 accounts banned I had a Barb which I cleared Inferno with, and also was normally playing, not only botting. It was like 3-4 hours of normal play, 2 hours break, ~6 hours botting. And it was banned anyway (luckily i managed to get it back :3 ) Other two accounts were botting only and 21+h/7 for over 2-3 weeks. 1 was banned and 1 was spared.

It all looks too random to me. Either they're doing it by hand and sometimes they just simply miss some accounts, or they simply do it for purpose so we wouldn't know what's their key for bans.

About Accounts:
All are EU
1st banned (this one I got back):
Private AutoIT script running Sarkoth 5-6hours a day, 3-4 hours of normal farming (play thoroughs of Act 2 and 3 inferno), played since release

2nd banned:
1month old, at first for one week Private AHK script for endless ZK 12-16hpurs a day with 15-30min breaks (I was boosting ppl on HC for money ), then 3 weeks of 21+/7 Sarkoth Private AutoIT script. Also progressed through Act 1 and 2 on Inferno in meantime (borrowed gear from friend).

3rd spared:
2 weeks old, just dinged 60 and from then on only Sarkoth 21+/7. Only one lvl 60 character on account, got boosted, missed most of quests for all difficulties, dinged 60, finished 1st quest and from then on it was straight botting. Yet for this most obvious from all 3 accounts, this is the only one that didn't get banned...

Care to elaborate on how you were able to get your account back? I was under the impression that accounts linked to 3rd party activity were perma-banned, no dispute. If possible can you link the body of the ticket you submitted to get your account back? Or perhaps what you said over the phone if you called? I think it would help out a lot of people right now, at least to get their main account back for people who lost those.

It's already posted in Elite Exploits, so cannot post outside now (if you have access go to http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/showthread.php?t=364561 ). And it has nothing to do with calling and improvising some lies - you can always try that, but from my experience it nearly never works. It's more like system flaw on Bnet service side. And I'm not sure if it will work for people already banned - for me it required commiting one exact action before being banned, and I have no ways to replicate and to try it another way, without putting my main account on risk, by getting it banned again :/

Currently NOT BANNED

I've been running NotAres Sarkoth DH script for about a week now about 18/7 on a VM. I have just under 50 mil collected on that account. I've made no modifications to the script short of changing combat time, vendor frequency and removed gem pickup. I also started (2 days ago) running the script on my main account too thinking this was pretty safe up to this point. I regret starting that now, and after hearing of people getting banned in the first day of bots (mostly AH bots I think), I'm a bit scared I might lose my main account which has a ton of gear and gold.

Do you guys think I should buy another account an xfer everything right now? I've also heard of people losing their 'safe' accounts which only stored gold or items.

My suggestion? Unload gold/items ASAP and don't keep them around for long. It seems nothing is 'safe' now.

Probably not a good idea to buy accounts since you have botted with your other account. If Blizz issues a ban on your IP (which is what they've been doing now), then both accounts will probably be banned.

Get a refund, and wait out the banwave.
