Truth is... botters are a beneficial parasite... if kept at healthy levels.

You might say "I bot smart and didn't get banned"... truth is.. you simply were not "culled" with those that were banned. Just like there are a certain number of "beta keys" assigned to accounts... there are certain number of bans assigned to flagged bot accounts.

Doing this keep gold flowing and people playing.... it also keeps just enough guessing to have botters buy another round of $60 a whack clients in bulk.

If you are a casual botter... it doesn;t matter what you do.. you will either be selected or not for ban. If you are a profit-focuses botter... bot 24/7 roll over your gold quickly and replace your accounts as they get banned. At $2 a mill.. it only take a few days for a bot to pay for itself.. then it's pure profit.

i dont bot smart... i bot 24/7.... i still have my accounts.... but then again i only botted 1 account (is that smart botting?) i still have my main account, which got all the gold off the bot account. i used hb for lvling the bot and IB for gold botting.

so like BigLootz says i probly didnt get culled..
but still i xfered my main wiz accounts gear 95kdps set to a friends account just in case and probly will leave it there for a few days.

I'm in a similar situation I think - it's really annoying that all the mule accounts are on temp ban (or at least look like the bans are set to expire) but the one main account with no botting activity is perma-banned Anybody have any luck appealing this? They definitely seem to be looking into ip-banning people, which is pretty unfair imho.

I called blizzard US too and spoke account support person or something. I asked why my "safe account" (I told them it's my only account and I live with my brother and roommates) is banned. He knew almost exact amount of gold I transferred from my botting accounts to this account and also number of items I transferred. So if you transferred significant amount of gold or items to your safe account after ban wave started. Your safe account is in danger too.

I don't think the accounts are temp banned, I think they are permabanned.

Ok so couple days ago my account got locked. I got scared, but changing my passwords saved that. I only had notAres script running at night (~6-7h) and not everyday. Did I get a lucky warning?
Should I keep botting? Only one account, EU. I play normally with it too....

I've gotten 2 denials on my first 3 bans.

I'm still working appealing them again, but at this point they said no and we won't respond.

I unbanned 1 account, after 5 hours I tried unbanning other 2. That new GM refused it with the same automated message and banned the account that was unbanned for "exploitation of game mechanics" (which I haven't) LOL, he was a complete jerk.

probably between around 11am-3pm GMT+10 went out for lunch came back and boom BANNED!

Banned using IB in Core of Arreat with 2 of my accounts.
This happened sometime during the night, not exactly sure of specific time.
What's funny is that i have two others that have been botting even more and they are still alive and botting..

Also this was on EU and i play HC only, so hc players are not safe either!

I only hope they ban my remaining two accounts so i can have my life back..

Oh, and they also recommended me buying a new copy of the game to continue playing - hypocrisy?

Now that i think of it, out of the 4 accounts that i have, 2 got banned and it was only the ones where i did boost runs using ZK exploit and AHK.
The 2 other accounts have been 100% Core of Arreat only and they are still going right now...

12 fresh account banned using AHK Sarkoth bot, they were running 600 gph constantly 20/7, might be why.
