Is there any reason to keep playing my Monk?

With the Royal Crypts nerf I really can't make enough gold to even fathom clearing through inferno, so I'm feeling like I should just go ahead and start a DH or something.

Once you gear up your monk he can farm quite efficiently and I suspect after they nerf inferno monks will be the best farming class in the game.

Agreed. I have both a DH and a Monk, I had pretty much given up on my monk until I decided to try out the life on hit build. Now I farm act 3 even more efficiently than my demon hunter, and depending on the severity of the inferno nerf I expect LoH monk will be able to farm act 3 quite easily, while all those glass cannon ranged will continue to get 1 shotted.

I'm just upset and aggravated at it right now, because I deploy in under 10 days to afghan.

i started as monk and also reroll to dh since i reach inferno i want to farm item and gear and DH is the easyst to run throught mob like for chest

Monks are a very viable class however they are very gear dependent if you are willing to put the time and effort into farming they are worth it in the end.

If you only wanted to play the Monk and nothing else, I suggest goblin farming act 2 gear for a few days and then progressing through to act 3, then farming Act 3 siegebreaker to progress further through the game.

My main is a wizard, but i am currently leveling a monk to farm act 3 inferno. Anyone here already farming act 3, can you please post your build and items? Just looking for a guide since i don't have a lot of gold and i don't want to start fooling around with the wrong items.

I assume most of you play Solo Monk. Have you try playing as a team? Pick up a couple of people to farm or go through act together, monk is very effective in team-play.

My gear is all right, not bad but not decent amazing either, I am a pure tank and I am fine with group. Matter of fact, Monk is OP on Diablo fight since we can easily rez your teammates

My stats is 1000 all resist, 65k hp, 4k armor, 30% dodge 10k dmg. (I sacrifice resist for HP since 1300 resist with 25k hp wasnt as good)

It will be really hard to be able to farm act 3 without proper gear, Monk is not the best class to farm but here is a build with lot of survival ability. I also use this build to kill diablo

It would be better if you just go and try it. everyone have a diff playstyle, every skill has its strong and weak point
