AFK farming - 2 billion xp/hr + tons of item drops [help needed]

Good catch. SeaNanners did post asking about bots a while ago. Maybe he got banned in a wave for previous use of bots, and it happened to coincide with this AFK farming?

Well the only thing I can comment on is that Blizzard doesn't take account termination/bans lightly and it usually takes a good amount of time for them to actually do so. Since this exploit is not even out for 24 hours on this forum it seems highly unlikely this specific act was the cause for his 'third party program' ban.

Also taking into account that diablo has had many exploited bugs and previous afk farm spots where not a single person who did not use macros claimed to have been banned. The only instances of account terminations I know of have been related to botting/macroing and the gold dupe.

But this is nothing more than observations and I don't know anything more than the next guy.

With the amount of resources Blizzard has devoted to the development and maintenance of Warden, do you think it is not a trivial task to see that a single key has been held down for a 5 hour period without any other keyboard or mouse inputs sent to the operating system?

It'd be extreme for the ban to be for this issue already, if that's the case though -it looks like I dodged this one...I've been banned from them before (WoW) and that was a bitch to get out of. I've never spent so long dealing with account management before.

I commented in the elite section last week - I did get banned for AFK farming the pulse thing that killed mobs. I was fine using weights on the keyboard until I started using _keyspam.

Thanks for the feedback. After a quick google search it seems keyspam is a macro program to basically do the same thing as holding down a key (perhaps even multiple).

This seems in line with the way Blizzard has been handling bans/suspensions in the past (only botters/macro/(gold)dupe).

i guess if you holding down keys thats rly easy to detect
i'm using Mouse and Keyboard recorder with random delays and i'm still fine
did it ~15h straight, no dcs until the server problems a few hours ago

the guy qiuyidio said he got banned after using _keyspam, the n3548 guy said he googled it and it does the same as if you would hold down a key

so i think its easy to detect if you only holding down a key
