How you leave the game? I tried using ESC / ESC, because thats the way i only can exit the game. And when i come back, the item is enchanted, and the cost for a new enchant is higher...

You press ESC to exit enchant window without choosing a stat... then you press ESC to bring up the menu.. and press Leave Game..

And when i do that, i come back and the roll is made like it used to be (w/o using a bugg/exploit as described_) and the cost for a new roll has gone up.

I always choose the affix my item already had, that means pressing enchant on the value the item already had.
After that I leave the game, resume, and the item doesn't appear to have been enchanted once.

Maybe you guys have a different D3 installed or something, because whatever i try, i can't get it to work.

Done everything you guys mentioned above...

-Put the Item u want entchant in the Slot
-click the Attribute u want entchant
-click Entchant
-is the new Attribute who u want (exampl glove 10% Crit) there use normal way
Otherwise
-Click on the Sword Button on the Entchant Window Side
-The Item wil drop in ur inventory
-Leave Game
-Start new one

and u will ses the Gold Price dont change

its only the GOLD who u save

It wasn't for me also at first, but i figured out, as already said,it doest work for every item. So sometimes you get items you can't use this bugg at.

Works perfectly for me on EU.
1. Place your UNENCHANTED item in the enchantment slot.
2. Select the affix you want to enchant and click 'enchant'.
3. If you don't like any of the options she gives you, press ESC, then ESC again and 'Leave game'.
4. Start game
5. Cost of enchanting the item hasn't risen.

Can confirm this, however, as some of you already stated, it does NOT work with every item! For example, i managed to do this with an amulette and a ring, however my rare gloves instantly got enchanted and account bound after using the same method.

It is a great tip. The people who say it isn't, most likely are very lucky, don't reroll much or have crapy gear anyway. I multibox and you have no idea how many amazing items I've got but I can't get the damn socket and rerolling is already at 1.5M+ each try. My Shard of Hate took almost 2 million on the lucky reroll that gave me the socket. I was about to salvage it cause I was so damn pissed. Right now I have 2 high DPS weapons and 2 pieces of armor that again, I can get the socket on them. This will help a lot reducing the costs. Mats are not a problem because you can get them really fast. Gold is in the other hand, can be slow to get and when rerolls are in the millions, you can't keep up with the little gold you get from farming.
