Equip 2 2handed weapons at once

is it me but does the item compare window not working properly?
Lets say i have a shoulder in my inbox that's clearly better stat than the one im currently wearing. When i hover over the better one, the compare windows tells me i lose dps (but when i wear it, dps does go up), and when i hover over an item that's a lot crappier/not even the main stat, it tells me my dps goes up.

has anyone else got the same problem as i do?

ur dps is bugged obv.. the game wasnt made to wear 2h + 1-2h, so it dont know how to calculate it, i asume everyone who done this bug has the same problem

Can anyone test if you can still equip two of the same 1h leg weapons like 2 echo's or 2 solemn vows?

Someone just reported me - even though I avoid public games and such, it happened.

There have been no reports of anyone getting banned for holding on to their 1 handed 2hs so far, casuals are still complaining in the general forum however and are reporting anyone they see with it, so I'd suggest being careful. Since this bug out-lasts its patch, I'm not sure which route they'll take with it, whether they'll ignore it, or wait until something important launches to do something about it. I can imagine it'd become a more serious issue around PVP time.

Thank you for your reply. So I will remain with them and be even more extra super duper careful than I was before.
I don't think 2 complaints and reports will do anything major - even if I'd get banned, I'm good at talking my way through the hotlines anyway. The 35k DPS buff is just too amazing to remove it without knowing if there are any risks.

Due to the number of people who are abusing this I would be surprised if they went the disciplinary action route but I didn't think guild wars would do it for buying wrongly priced items from a vendor and well, they kind of banned 3,000 accounts for it so who really knows. (Arena net changed the banning to a suspension but I know someone still trying to get there account unlocked)

I would say the only way the games fun is with dual 2 handed weapons but even that is getting old, I farm act 3 like the top geared player's now what? I played Diablo for the ghetto town PVP and that is what kept bringing me back to the game. Creating different characters to try different builds is the time sink that got me, not farming that shit was for bots.

I read in a thread on reddit that there was a new way to do the bug. Have any of you guys heard of that and know how to do it, if it is indeed possible?

It's patched, this method at least. Existing ones are still ok though, just can't re bug it now.

Gems.. I'd say try to do it with a full inventory minus 1 space for the gem, and see what happens? Or try it on an alt with a worn piece to see if he can keep it worn throughout the process.

ive still got both my 2H weaps equipped.. and i can verify that i have taken gems out without removing the weapon... just make sure you dont double click your weap and use drag and drop into the remove gem artisan...

I also was able to change gems in my 2hand, had no problem with that. (full inv while i was removing gem)

I copied my character to PTR; my inventory was full. Started the game and noticed that my offhand is gone. Before the game, it was there. Anyone else had similar experience?
