hey, i am currently trying to code something of a script for myself.
i have been looking at the various autoit scripts around and about the forums, and i am mostly impressed.
however, being somewhat of a noob, i find myself stuttering and glaring at the text for what must be hours on end.
there is something that which i could not figure out.
it is about aqquiering the current position of my char, relating it to the current map/world and acting thereby.
as is understood, maps of d3 are dynamic which means they change properties.
In addition to that, picking up loot here and there offshifts your current characters' position in relation to the waypoints laid out for it in the predetermined textfile (see ruffbot as an example), thereby schewing the actual location somewhat and in turn making it easier getting stuck on objects or narrow doorways because of said offshifts.
for now i wanna make a simple script where my char only attacks nearby characters, and nothing else.
i taketh that i need nomadmemory for that.
however i cannot seem to pinpoint this function to any codeline in the examples provided so far, here on these forums or on the net in general.
what is really bugging me is how do you get a read on the enemies on screen. how does it work. could someone please explain that to me?
thanks,
ds
