IMPORTANT: Do all these steps while you are NOT having the game running, or you wont be able to delete the saved variables files because they will be re-created when the game client is closed or if you reload your UI ingame.
Step 1 (If you have had Rested XP installed before, if not then you can skip this)
1.1 - Find your WoW install folder (example C:\1. Spel\World of Warcraft)
1.2 - Go into the version of WoW you want this for and go into <WoW Version>/WTF/Account/<Your account name>/SavedVariables
1.3 - Delete the files "RXPGuides.LUA" and "RXPGuides.lua.bak"
1.4 - Go back to the folder "<Account Name>" and go into eaach individual server folder, then go into the name of your characters folder, then go into saved variables and repeat step 1.3.
Step 2 - Install RestedXP Guides addon from, to take an example, CurseForge either through the website or their client.
Step 3 - Download the guide from the first link provided by BlueRainsky in the first post.
Step 4 - Extract the .RAR file into your '<your wow version>/Interface/Addons' folder, do NOT extract it directly the RXPGuides addon folder as that wont work.
Note 1: You need a program such as 7zip or Winrar to unpack the downloaded .RAR file, you will not be able to unpack it with the built in tool in Windows.
Note 2: The reason why you add the actual guide into the 'Addons' folder is because the guide is it's own addon and not a module for the Rested XP addon.
And feedback for you BlueRainsky, you really should update the main post with a FAQ section where you can take up frequently asked questions in this thread and create a small step by step guide (or just copy the steps i just wrote down, i dont really care) and have it in the main post so people easily and clearly can see what they need to do, as your "guide" in the beginning of the guide is honestly useless and not clear at all. Not everyone is good with computers and with how easy it is to update and maintain addons nowadays, loads and loads of people dont know how to manually handle addons as it's not normally needed nowadays.
Literally JUST tried this and it DOES NOT work.
1. Deleted savedvariables
2. installed RXPguides on curseforge client
3. Downloaded the MOP rar file from the website.
4. Extrated RXP Leveling-Classic.toc AND the Classic folder onto the ADDONS folder.

You dont extract the .toc file and the Classic folder into the 'Addons' folder, you extract the 'RXP Leveling' folder inside the .RAR file into the 'Addons folder' so it sould be 'Addons/RXP Leveling' which contains the RXP Leveling-Classic.toc file and the Classic folder.

So for 21 years millions of installs and no issue.
No one ever said that was super confusing.
But when doing it the SAME way, it is super confusing?
That makes no sense.
Installing an addon is one way
Doing the exact same thing, is super confusing? That makes no sense at all.
Well people remove half the addon. Then they wonder why half of it does not work. Yet there are surprised.
Then you post a wall of text but do not call that super confusing?
There is a video, people do not watch that either.

Is there a professions guide for RestedXP like Zygor has? I ask out of pure ignorance.

No, RXP is speedleveling.
It is not loremaster, pets, professions etc
It is only a speedleveling addon
But people could make their own guides for it.
But because they have to something, they do not want to do anything.

I was having a lot of trouble as well as everyone here, despite knowing I was following Rain's directions. Downloading the needed folder(first link), extracting the folder, and then extracting the needed .rar file into the addons folder of the correct game version. You end up with the RXP Leveling folder, and that's that, you're done. However, this was still not working for me and I was going through everything trying to figure it out.
Turns out the RXP Leveling addon that is provided here(not the RestedXP Guides addon) was disabled in game. The last time I used this was when we were using the guides folder so that wasn't something I even considered to check until I suddenly realized.
Thank you for the great work as always BlueRainsky

1.) Install RestedXP over Curseforge
2.) put the "RXP Leveling" into your Addons folder.

3.) enjoy

People quote "extract to addons folder" Then they ask, where in the addons folder.
How to respond?

Yea last time was over 6 months ago and "not the same file"
So if the file is not the same, why would you treat is the same.
If the file is an addon, why in 21 years had anyone extracted an addon to an addon? No one in 21 years has? So why are people doing that now. When told one thing, extract to addons.

I never said that I treated the file the same.
My entire point was that your directions are perfectly fine - as a message to everyone else having issues.
Thanking you for the directions and for your work, and adding what my issue was.
Just as a heads up in case anyone else is dumb and tired and didn't think it might be disabled in game
I simply wasn't used to it being a new addon on its own, but that doesn't mean I tried anything other than extract to addons.

Well my instructions in the first post say just 1 thing and 1 thing only.
Extract to addons
People are so fast to take the file and not read. Then claim they know what to do.
But people backup excuse is, but before *6 months ago I used to.....
Not the same file, not the same install
Before extract to rxp folder.
But what did people do? Go to the rxp folder, delete the guides and add mine. Then wonder why what they deleted is gone. 1 guy claimed I hacked his PC, to delete the folder. Because he wanted to deny that he did it.
Or people would put \rxp\guides\guides. I never told them to do that, but they still did it.
Now this file is an addon. I said extract to addons and that's it. People cannot even do that.
So if they cannot do 1 simple thing, how can they even use the addon?

this. it is really this simple. IF you are updating the addon or have previously had a rxp guide, MAKE SURE TO DELETE THE RXPGUIDES loa files in the saved variables. Head to classic folder (F:\Games\World of Warcraft\_classic_\WTF\Account), hit ctrl + F, type RXP and then just delete the files that show.
as BlueRainsky mentioned, do not strip the files from their rar or guides or w/e, just install restedxp from curseforge, then put BlueRainsky's RXP Leveling into your addons folder. that's it. no complicated proccess.

21 Years and people can install an addon manually.
But when they are told to do the same.
For some reason they add an addon, inside an addon.
When I ask them, have they ever done that in 21 years and all the addons they have installed? They say no. So why do it now.
Their excuse is, but before.
Before was not the same file. So why would they install something different the same.
But then again, they take and do not read.
