That is what I keep on telling people and I’d not to fast to take the file and run. Then maybe they would read first.

Seems people play the game and have no idea what they are playing.

They download era
They install era
They run era
They see the era file and then take classic.

Then they ask why it does not work.

I've been through several pages on this thread and tried searching key words on the site with no luck. Safe to assume this would not work with MoP/Legion private servers currently? Got Rested XP for a few versions on Curseforge to test the 1-20 and none work on Tauri MoP.

So instead of asking, you went through several pages and then asked?

Well RXP never lived through legion, they never had any guides for legion.
Also legion has lower experience gain, so no one would speed level through legion.

Does Tauri Mop use the official API or their own? If their own then it will never work.
If the official it would work.

Given your frustration levels from the last few pages here, I attempted to do all I could for my own answer to alleviate your stress levels from this post. haha

They must use their own API given I can't even get the free 1-20 guides to work. No biggie. I'm just wanting to get a toon to 90 as soon as I can to park it there for when they finally get around to launching Legion.

You know what causes the frustration? Let me make it simple.

I ask people.

What did you do? They do not say.
What did you download? They do not say.
Where did you install it to? They do not say.
Did you read the first post. They do not say.

Then make that list 50+ different things. But you now what is funny? A 6 year old child can install the addon. But how you say? They read the first post, extract to. But others do not read it and claim they are right.

But let me point out something. Why do people ask for help and then deny it or not say what they want? So they can act the victim and claim no one helps them.

Well you are trying to use a modern addon on a game from 2012. The current API for the game is from 2016.
So that means you are trying to run a modern addon on a game with 0 compatibility.

The only option you have is Hermes, Scale the API to the modern API. That is if the server permits it.

Just wanted to check real quick, without the intention of acting like a freeloader, but the latest guide update for (Classic) Era is still from February 2025 right?
I used to check every week for your post to update but it hasn't been since then and I'm now hesitant to update the Addon using CurseForge because it might break your provided config.

Did you loose access to the guides or are you just fed up with keeping it updated?
Anyhow, keep up the good work

Just a few things to point out:

I don’t have full access to updates. But even when updates are released, paying customers aren’t informed. So, in short, you pay for something and aren’t told about fixes. You pay for something and aren’t told about changes. You pay for something and aren’t even told when updates happen. And when an update does happen, they make it appear as though your account hasn't received it. What kind of service is that?

The way I handle it is simple: people can update as much as they want. The devs said to make custom guides, so that’s what I did.

But let’s talk about their guides for a second. What are they, really? They're just copied from another paid addon. They strip out the original header, swap in a new one, tweak the code a bit to obfuscate it, and call it their own. Then they have the nerve to complain when someone else does the same to them.

And honestly, considering how rarely they update those guides, I don't know why people keep checking back. One guy downloaded the same file multiple times in a single day and then complained that there were no changes. When I pointed out that it’s literally a 1:1 copy, he got dramatic and acted like he didn’t understand what I meant.

Sorry to bother guys, I have tried downloading the Era guide for hardcore and installed the 20-60 horde.lua in the folder where the guides are located. However, it won't load the new guides in rested exp. Have tried to reinstall the addon but same thing, Any pointers? thanks!

So let me ask just one thing if I may because people never want to answer it.

In the first post there is a link and you clicked it.
Right next to the link tells you what to do. Did you not read that, or just clicked the link and did not read what to do.
Then do what I said not to do in multiple posts.

Seeing here is my simple point.

People do to the first post.
They see what to do
They click the link, extract and install. I thought that was easy?

I clicked the levelling guides , extract to addon link, which did take me to the guides to download, I clicked the era and got the files. Not sure which guide you're talking about , the one video guide I saw is how to install a basic addon. I know how to do that, I put the guides in the rested exp folder and it should show the guides but it doesn't. Not sure if there is any other guide but that was it, the next post takes you to the general rested exp download. I did download the first version through curseforge and added the folders manually, maybe that was the mistake?

Brother with all honesty if you don't wanna help that's fine, no need to be a dick about it. It's my first time doing this and I'm trying to follow along that's it. Maybe ask yourself if thousands of people do the same mistake maybe the way I explain it it's not the best? It's not your duty to share it and I appreciate you sharing the files but if you're not gonna help no need to be rude about it. I'm an old guy trying to do what I can to get it to work

You know what the point is, people like you that leech the file and then lie about it.

Thousands of people do the same mistake. Because just like you, they leech the file and do not read. Then when told to read they do not. Then they attack and insult because they are pointed out that they intentionally did what I said not to and still do not what I said to do.
