[Guide] Race to Race

This somehow does not work for me. I've done everything correctly. But when I log into wow with the ME fix, and press end before log in. Then shift-7 when I see it's logged in, my char model isn't changed. Have no idea what's wrong or what to change.

I have the same problem, the only ones i can change into are Draenei and Broken. Everything else such as gnome and scourge i cannot. ;(

Little problem: I extract the 4 folders to one Texture folder, no problems yet, Blood Elf with all his .blp files and stuff. But when i go to tauren i dont see any .BLP things. In the Male/Female only 1 .blp. I'm trying Tauren Male - Night Elf Female.
Anybody can help me ?

I have changed race with my NE male many time but i cant get it to change it into Human female, i have dont it with gnome tauren and human male, but i cant do it with Female, anyone know what i might could have done wrong?

how come i only have the one CHARACTER folder and not the character folder(small letters) when i open common.mpq?

Make sure you have ALL FILES selected in the drop down at the bottom left of MWS.

Check the programs sticky, it's got a bunch of em. I know there's about 5 or 6 MPQ viewers out there.

Ok a bit of help please lol
i have now followed this guide exactely 100% 3-4 times now and my attempted GnomeF > ScourgeM
has failed every time its not coming up with an error or anything its just standard gnome :S any explanations ?

What are you entering for the re-name prompts?

This happened to me the first time i tried female to male or male to female edits. What i think happened is you just typed gnome to scourge without identifying the sex.

This is the following code you need for the Renamer prompts.

SCOURGE to NightElf:

When you re-name your files you want it to be,
(Male to Male) Replace Text 1 "Scourge" - With "NightElf"
(Male to Female) Replace Text 1 "ScourgeMale" - With "NightElfFemale"
(Female to Male) Replace Text 1 "ScourgeFemale" - With "NightElfMale"
(Female to Female) Replace Text 1 "Scourge" - With "NightElf"

The UD are SCOURGE, but the .blp files and the .m2 file's Are Scourge. so the rename prosses will contain Scourge, as opposed to SCOURGE.

Ofcorse you would enter the prompts with your race, scourge and elf are just examples.

So GnomeFemale to ScourgeMale.

My question isn't awnsered yet: I succecfuly changed my gnome into an undead and my night elf into a dwarf but i can only do 1 at the time. Example:

I change my Gnome male into an UD male my night elf doesn't look like a dwarf anymore so the conclusion : i can only do 1 char at the time , does anyone know how to do 2 characters at the time so i can see my GNome as undead and my night elf as dwarf at the same time ?

Sorry for the very late response Pew, What you need to do is basicly do two in One.

I never really thought you could play 2 accounts at the same time so i never figured you would actualy need 2 edits running together, So i havent looked into this at all, but this is what i think needs to happen.

Do the first edit but stop after you Rename and transfer the files to you Character > Real Race > Sex folder.
Then create another character folder with the other race and sex you want to be changed. then do the same with the renamer.

Irfan View > rename GnomeMale to ScourgeMale,
Create another Character folder. (Character1) Do the same as you did the first, Character1 > Real Race > Sex
Irfan View > rename NightElf** to Dwarf**
( ** = what the sex of your character is.)

Create the txt documents in both character folders. Open up MWS.
Open patch-2.mpq rename...... da da da da da

After you save the pack, open up the patch-4.MPQ we just saved While in MWS. And open the character1 text document. after opening, remove the text document as well, pack, save mpq acrhive.

To my understanding, this should work. Let me know how this turns out.

Mh, I tried to change from a Tauren to a blood elf. Only my new blood elf is showing my tauren textures :s
