    • Q: I've tried to make this fix for a Tauren male to Gnome male edit, did just like the guide says but the boots still doesn't show. The number in column 1 for gnomes is 12 and 14 for taurens, so i changed to 12 for taurens like it says, can't get it to work >_> You might wanna give it a shot or help me out plz :> I'm in enGB btw if u wanna try to make the fix yourself, any help is much appreciated <3
    • A: You must be missing a step (specifically pressing enter after typing in 12, before saving. Step 5). (MPQ: patch-6.mpq)

    Additional Downloads:

    [IMGR]http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/5096/wow2007100408282242dw6.th.png[/IMGR][IMGR]http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/7483/wow2007100408283867oj4.th.png[/IMGR]
    • Troll Male to Fel orc Male:
      • patch-7.mpq
      • However I did notice it removed Troll from the character creation screen, so if you need to make a new troll then you need to remove this edit. The MPQ is enUS Localization.

    Additional Notes:

    • Please note that these are not specific to gender, changing the tauren males feet also changes the tauren females feet, so if the tauren male is edited it will have boots, if the tauren female is not it likely won't.

Just wondering, and yes you can smack me. If you took out the little model edit patch, will there be boots on a draenei, or tauren? o.o

I've read your post and re-read your post and I still don't really understand what you mean... if you remove the patch the boot type will go back to default, if your models feet are bigger than the boots you won't see the boots.

Er, forgive me for another dumb post.. I've done exactly what this guide has said, but for some reason I get a critical error. Not sure why either.

Are you using the Model Edit Fix?

if you are, then you must have done it improperly. Post the race names of what your editing from and to and I can have a look at it.

Oki doke. I've been trying to make it go from draenei to orc. I did everything perfect, fixed the numer in the ChrRace.DBC from 14 to 12 on the draenei, and it just keeps crashing saying it's a corrupted file.

Re: [Guide] Fixing bare feet on character swaps

I did everything as you said while trying to change troll->ud and when i enter the game, i see my troll as an undead model, but still barefoot... any idea why?

I did everything right, pressed enter after typing the number 12 in place of 14 for the troll row so that it selected the one underneath it when I saved, and now I'm really not sure where I could make a mistake...

Annoying bump, but I'm tired of bare feet! And I'm getting blisters!

Re: [Guide] Fixing bare feet on character swaps

Don't understand what you guys are doing different...

    DR - Orc

    patch-g.mpq

    TR - UD

    patch-i.mpq

Edit: I don't ever want to see a bump again, it won't make me respond any faster.

Still doesn't work. I get a Corrupt File thing, and it crashes on start up. *shrugs* Your's is identical to the one I made too, so I'm not sure what's wrong with it.

    World of WarCraft (build 7359)

    Exe: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
    Time: Oct 16, 2007 6:19:20.437 PM
    User: @@@
    Computer: WOLFIE-92686B7A
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This application has encountered a critical error:

    ERROR #131 (0x85100083) File Corrupt
    Program: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
    File: DBFilesClient\ChrRaces.dbc

And sorry, don't know what you mean by Localization. I'm a complete nub. :/
