Hellscream Private Server model edit exe

I've seen some model edits and textures i'd like to use, but the patched exe does not work with the Hellscream WoD private server. As yet, i've been unable to find a tutorial on how to patch their exe to allow the model edits to work.

Has anyone done this, or can anyone point me in the direction to do this on my own?

I saw your request in my thread on a different forum. However forum rules on that one frowns upon private servers so I didn't reply (honestly surprised the moderators didn't catch it). I would have gladly done it if you had sent me a PM. Since you made a post over here I might as well do it for you.

    32-bit exe
    64-bit exe

For future references you can always find the locations you need to edit (fortunately the private server didn't change much in the exe so the locations were the same) in either my Copy folder or Mega folders. Just pull up the "location info.txt" file within the version number folder.

They are both the same folder on my hard drive just different upload sites.
    6.X Copy folder
    6.X Mega folder

As for doing the edits for yourself, I would suggest using VBinDiff. Just drag and drop the file you want to edit onto the vbindiff.exe and it will bring up a command console window. From there press "G" to type in the 8-digit location and press "Enter". Press "E" to go into edit mode and type in the replacement info to overwrite it, press "Esc" then "Y" to exit edit mode and to confirm the changes. Do this until you are done with all of the edits you need to do then press "Q" to close out of the command console window.
I've been using VBinDiff since I started doing edits which was late Cata.

Wow, thanks for this! On that other forum, i wasn't entirely sure what the rules were regarding private servers, but considering the content, i thought i'd be okay.

I really have no clue about programming or such, but i don't want to have to bug other people to do this for me every time a server i play on has an update. Seriously, thank you very much for taking the time to do this for me.
