.MPQ files not opening

I tried both MPQ Master and MyWarcraftStudio, and whenever I open an MPQ file on either of them, nothing happens. It says that file's open, but there's nothing on the list.

Something I could be doing wrong or that I didn't do at all?

Is it a Model Edit?
Check the file size if it is fully downloaded. May be corrupted... Try another model edit?

Downloaded? I was told the models and skins were all there, for a manual model edit. I'm trying to go from Troll Male to Orc Male.

I downloaded a Troll male to orc male edit to my World of Warcraft folder (for simplicity) and opened up the MPQs in MyWarcraftStudio. I try to open an m2 file and the whole thing crashes.

Oh, and I tried extracting the TrollMale.m2 file in the archive given in the model edit folder I downloaded, and it doesn't DO anything. I click extract to... and nothing happens.

This is infuriating.

Grrr, there is no Model.MPQ in my Data folder! Why??

Model edits are made from the Common and Patch MPQ's, the newer ones such as Illidan's model is in Patch. The older kind of models like Horses or Moonkins are in Common, all the model.mpq and sound.mpq were put together into Common.MPQ at the end of patch 1.12
