Eh, the title got wrong, it's supposed to be "Replacing many files with a single one", but please read the whole thread and see if you can understand what i mean.
Maybe hard to understand, but i got into a problem and i'll try to explain.
I got some .adt's of a area i want to change with a single .adt, so all the .adt's i got becomes this single .adt-file. Alright, that didn't make much sence, did it? I got a single .adt file of an instance, and i would like to replace a whole other instance with this single .adt file, how can i do this quick without having to copy the xxxx_00_01.adt file to zzzz_00_01.adt and then keep copying it by hand untill i replaced all the files i wanted to replace with this single one?
I tried by using Renamer linked in demon's thread, but it won't work my way.
To summary it. I got this single piece from an instance, let's call it Deadmines_00_01.adt, i want to replace ALL of the Stockades_xx_zz.adt-files with this single Deadmines_00_01.adt file. Is there any quickway i can do this, like doing a masscopy of Deadmines_00_01.adt and renaming it to stockades_xx_zz.adt, all files at once, or do i have to replace the files by hand, by copying the orginal one, and renaming it with the proper name?
Hopefully that made it a bit easier to understand of what i want to do.
Cheers to anyone willing to help me out, please note that i'm not going to replace stockades with a single deadmines piece, but i only used it as an example, the real reason is beyond public eyes![]()
