Hey, Ownedcore! I'm starting new project Sword of Truth based on Terry Goodkind's books. If you had ever read his books you must know what a big world we must create, so it's unpossible to be done by one person.

SoT takes place in a big continent, which consists of some zones:
1) The Midlands (The capital is Aydindril)
2) Westland (The capital is Hartland)
4) D'Hara (Te capital is People's Palace, which is situated on Azrith Plains)
5) The Old World (The capital is Altur-Rang)


There will be two factions Imperial Order and D'Harian Empire

We need:
Map developers (Work with Noggit)
Lore writers (For this you must read at least 2 of Terry Goodkind's books) - NOT NEEDED ANYMORE
Quest/NPC editors
Artists, who can paint fan-arts for our login and loading screens.
LUA/XML developers for creating login and character select/creation screens.
And also we need a person who has some skills in Photoshop to edit WoW's interface and customise it to the SoT.

:arrow: Some words about the process of development. :arrow:

Now we have a team with 6 guys, and 3 of them is level designers. so it's very inconvinient to edit different ADTs on different computers and then join them together. We decided to organize our work via synchronization system, so if somebody makes some changes and saves the project, other developers will have their project files synchronized in 3-5 minutes. There is no need to have special software or a server, we just use Google Drive Client.

I would be more than happy to help with funding on a mmo of any sort of the project base is solid

That show was stupid, loosely followed the book to the extreme. Unless you have Terry Goodkind's permission (an likely the publisher's as well), then you will be violating his copyright, and get sued.

Ahah, first of all, I'll get a written permission from Terry in a few days, so It's not needed to violate his copyright. By the way, I live in Russia, my country doesn't extradite people for no reason, according to copyright violation and other small shit. In addition, we are building our project not for full commercial use, we want to raise money to bring back 3d season of series (with promotion by SoS, if Terry agrees). Terry Goodkind likes series, so it's 60-70% that he will agree.

Yes the series has many differences with the book, but it's better than nothing. And if you had not read the book, series would seem like a good story.
