Hi all,
In the past I've only done basic edits, and I'm hoping to continue to World Building. After browsing a ton of threads, I've come across three programs that seem to be the main tools that people use for landscaping/texturing/adding WMOs: Noggit, YiasDX, and Taliis - which leaves me with two questions:
1. What are the advantages of each program? Is there any program I can eliminate because one or two of the others do everything in it and more? Specifically, what are each program's capabilities?
2. What tools am I missing? I'm sure there are other tools out there that are useful for world editing... honestly, I'll take anything, even if it's a very small tool with a single purpose. Does anyone know of other programs that would be helpful? Also, which program is the best for browsing through WMOs to see what you want to add?
Thanks a bunch!! +5rep for a thorough answer.

Edit: Another random question: If I make a new continent (new map) how can I edit it on Noggit/Yias/Taliis, considering that only blizzard-made maps are listed?
