    Backporting animation and textures?

    Hey!

I was speculating about a bit, and came across this interesting thought. Would it be possible to extract the animation/texture of the Wotlk/Cata style MindFlay and make it usable on a 2.4.3 client?

As seemingly all channels got a substantial upgrade with 3.0, I suspect the entire channelling system was updated in which case what I'm trying to do would probably be hard. Would still be fun though!

This is not a request; merely a question.
