I don't work with animations Kody, sorry. I have 3DMS but works for so long then says I need a licence (when i have one) and I have to reinstall it. I really don't use it much, so its too much of a pain.

The client seems to be overriding it now reguardless of what ID's you switch around or how. Only WMV will show the changes. (I.e switching Attack Offhand to play the Kick animation and kick to Attack Offhand, or one of the /dance animations changed to SuccubusEntice for a pet->PC Model switch)

Wow, this thread got a bit of spinoff... I'd like to get an answer to my issue, not getting several other people trying to get theirs through here >_<
    Anyway, the link above have expired or something ^^;

The help you've given me is good, but it's still a bit loose on the ends...

everyone has to start somewhere. must be nice to have been born with the advanced modelling information and to never need help.

Re: How to attach animations to attacks on models?

What you on about? I have never gotten or actually said strictly that I want someone to do the work for me, so far I've gotten really good information how-to myself (it has helped me). It's just all the other people who say "can someone blahblah" here... anyway, progressing quite fine with what I want so unless something more comes up on the horizon I'll give this thread another go.

    Thanks, Schlumpf

Re: How to attach animations to attacks on models?

    I was refering to:

"this is adv. modelchanging and who cant get the things to work with the provided information is just not experienced enough and should work on those things until he understands what the info actually means and 2"

I guess it does hurt to ask.

    and:

    "Owned...
Finally someone puts somebody in their place. Thank you Schlumpf.

Edit: Stick to your Undead to Blood Elf changes with your helm problem's guys. (and such others)"

I guess its not a good thing to want to know how to do more. its just rude. thats all. if you dont want to help dont. dont berate someone for asking a question or wanting to know how to do something. everyone has questions.

Houseplant2, there's a reason why they aren't helping the people who asks them. Since its advanced editing.

Re: How to attach animations to attacks on models?

yep. because they are afraid that it will be nerfed by blizz. or that they would use it for ill gotten gains *cough*World of Warcraft Exploits, Hacks, Bots and Guides*cough* and why be they rude then? they were just asking for help. if you dont want to then dont do it. it wasnt nessessary. If the only reason they wanted not to share information was to keep it from getting nerfed they wouldnt dangle it in front of less knowlegeable peoples faces at every turn. keeping them in the dark and themselves on thier pedestal. no matter how much something gets nerfed a way is found to overcome it. its only temporary.

"edit done by someone else will only get you so far. Following a guide and making that edit yourself, teaches you how to do it again and again, all on your own!"
    - Demonkunga

An hornorable statement to be sure. to bad they dont practice what they preach. he asked for a guide. and was belittled for it. like I said, you dont have to help. but you dont have to berate someone for asking either.

what happend here was not keeping model editing safe. it was them being
    pretentious.

You're right with being rude. But. Its not only about nerfing, you find stuff by yourself in Model Editing. Lets say it was über hard to do a .m2 swap. You have been trying forever to get it. Then after some weeks, you finally made it ! After a day or two you see a guide how to swap .m2's.. How would you feel?

I loaded the file through m2modder and followed the choices they had, I got lost once i arrived at the part where it asks the number of animation. i type in the ID and it just reposted the same phrase "Change an animID - Blend (number of animation or -1 to quit)" i have no clue what im doing wrong =/
