    Character size.

I'm trying to shrink my tauren down to undead/orc size but I can't seem to do it. I've looked through and followed the steps in this tutorial but there's no change. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

There is no change, as in, nothing has happened?

    -Did you capitalize .MPQ?
-Did you named it patch-ENUS-8.MPQ and set it in wow folder\data\ENUS ?

if there are no changes you most likely did those things wrong, no changes means you haven't completely corrected things, if there were errors that is anothing thing.

Yes, I have done those steps. I'll try it again and list down my steps when the servers come back up.

Then did you double-checked if you changed the correct things? I don't know exactly how you change the size, but if they use 1.0 as a scale and you want it twice as big then typing 2.0 or 2,0 might make the difference. Also, you can check the changes in model viewer, just load the MPQ and you see the changes. Also, check if you edited the correct thing.

Yea I did double check. According to the tutorial, I just need to change the value in the CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc file, pack the edited .dbc file in a .MPQ and I'm done. It didn't mention editing any model either. Maybe the method is outdated and a new way of doing it is out there?

If there is no error nor a change then you must have done something wrong.
    A) check ur dbc again
    b) Any typings in the MPQ? (DBFilesClient is the exact name of the folder)
    c) How did you name your MPQ?

If you think that everything is correct , upload your MPQ.

I DBC edited yesterday and all was a-okay. It was only a spell swap though so I messed the values in field 131 thats responsible for the display. Maybe you changed the wrong value in some field? And yes you need to do that, or well, I dunnow how exactly you did it but what I did was:

1)Open patch-ENGB-2.MPQ with some kind of MPQ editor
    2)Extract Spells.dbc
    3)Edited Spells.dbc
4)Made a new MPQ called patch-ENGB-08.MPQ and then added the spells.dbc, and because it originated from dbsfilesclients or something, I needed to put that infront, so path is dbsfilesclients\spells.dbc
5)Saved the MPQ in the folder enGB that resides in the data map.

Alright here's the file: Filebeam - Beam up that File Scottie!

RENAME .rar to .MPQ Do not extract it.

    Here's what I did:
    1) Extract CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc from patch-enUS-2.MPQ
    2) Open .dbc file with http://www.mmowned.com/forums/world-...bc-editor.html
    3) Change values in field4 for id 51 and 59 to 1.35 and 1 respectively
    4) Create patch-enUS-8.MPQ file and pack the edited .dbc file inside
    5) Place it in WoW/Data/enUS folder

Ok, I've finally got it to work. I forgot to remove the other Tauren male edits I've been using. I shall go sit in the corner now. I feel stupid. Thanks for your help anyway.
