Race swapping for a single character

So here's the deal - I wanna make a new Human pally, however I want to swap the model for a Worgen one (so i have the worgen in the character creation screen) - I've not model editted for about a year so have forgotten a lot, but i remember it being possible to make only my character appear as a worgen rather than every human and was wondering if anyone knows how to do this?

You are incorrect. You swap the model with another model, and since Blizzard re-uses all models then those will also be swapped. I thought like that at first too, but after a few character swaps and logic thinking, I knew it was impossible to have my own unique model for my own

Theoretically and practically, it is not possible. What you are doing is swapping a model with another existing model. Maybe the post that you had read was in emu section, where it COULD be possible. The only way to make it possible is that you have access to Blizzard server and import your own unique model. Let me rephrase it this way.

Blizzard has 1 undead model in 1 mpq. But how come in WoW there are tons of undeads walking around, when you only have 1 undead model? It is because al those undeads walking around use the same model that resides in the mpq. So if you swap the model in the mpq into that of a tauren, then all the undeads that were using the undead model are also taurens.

I myself am a longtime model editor and have never heard of a possible 100% way to make swaps-intended-for-yourself , I could be wrong, but at this stage I do not think it is possible to have a unique model for your own ingame.

Cheers - I figured it probably wasnt possible for the above reason (i used to be big on the model editting), but it was just I can remember someone writing how to do it. Like you say though it was probably a private server. Oh well, I'll just have to settle for all humans being Worgens for now. Unless.... is it possible via hex editiing or still no?
