I wanted to replace the model for the weapon that blood elf paladins start with, with my custom model that i have made.
I made my custom model, unwrapped it and textured it. I then exported my model to a .obj and converted my texture from .png to .blp using a blp converter. I used the OBJ to M2 converter from glitchy's MES to make an MPQ that replaces the 2-H sword that blood elf paladins start with and put it into my data folder.
The model works in game but the texture didn't seem to work as the weapon is just a strange colour.
I have got a custom model to work when i replaced the night elf female character with another custom model that i made. The texture worked fine when i did this model swap aswell so i know that i am doing it all correctly.
Is there something extra i have to do when i am putting a custom weapon model and texture in, i just can't get it to work.

EDIT: I got the custom model to work, the blp file was messed up. I had to make another UVW render and save it as a bmp file then texture it, then save as a png and then convert it to blp.
I now have another problem though, on some parts of the custom model the texture is slightly out of place, like it has been moved around as i have been converting the file. One half of the sword is almost flawless though.
EDIT 2: I finally got it to work, i don't really understand how or why but im just glad to have my model work in game with texture![]()
