[Question] Problem with weapon model swap

I am trying to make a model swap to change Dignified Headmaster's Charge to Anathema.

Problem is, even though I followed the guide (extracted both the M2 and .skin file and renamed) I've got the new weapon model and the old skin.

I've attached a pic of what it looks like right now.

You're confusing a skin file for a texture file. The .skin file dictates how the texture is placed on the model (m2), I think, whereas the .blp is the actual texture.

Basically all you need to do is swap the .blp files in addition.

Okay, I got the texture applied but I had one more question. Is it possible to get rid of the swirling green orbs from the head of the weapon? I see a lot of tutorials on how to add stuff, but not so many on how to remove it. :P
