I think the purpose of the modelviewer was to find models so I doubt you can get it to respond to changes in the MPQs and open your custom ones.

I think GroundZero uploaded a private server for 3.3.2 so try it out if you wanna test things smoothly.

so do u mean that i have to change the normal mpq's like common.mpq or patch.mpq or do i just have to add my custom mpq's in the modelviewer options?

cuz if i add my own custom patches either the char model wont load or i get an error.

Nah they add new models in the new updates of the program.

If it's open source you might be able to do it yourself.

You can use Model Viewer to look at custom skins which are just changes made to the BLP files. But I've tried looking after swapping some .m2's around and I kept getting errors. :S
If you don't know how to put a custom patch into model viewer it's fairly easy.
open the "settings" tab, where it has the list of patches click the "add" button below.
Find your patch, add it, close WMV, and re-open it to look at your skins.

    Ok
    guess m2 changes wont work.

but if i add a patch that changes .blp's i get an error message that says:

The instruction at "0x5ed195ec" referenced memory at "0x7ff50007". The memory could not be "read".

    what does that mean?
beats the hell out of me

M2changes do work, if you create a correct MPQ(with some Modelviewer has problems :/)

It will work. I can preview model/texture changes I make in it. You have to add it to the list of MPQ files it loads on startup under settings. I think that's what you mean? I use an older version of Model Viewer.. 5.0.8c I think, have to look when I get home. Stuck at work for the moment.
