[SOLVED] BLP<-->Editable Image Problem (Lines of DEATH)

Sup guys. I seem to have run into a now unavoidable problem. This has probably been encountered before however I have yet to come across a solution.

As you can see, when I transfer a file from its .TGA form back into a .BLP after editing it with photoshop, it becomes riddled with blank lines and therefore unusable. I have experienced this problem before starting my current project, and thought I had solved it. I had been using WoWImage Converter to convert .BLP files into .PNG with limited success. Most if not all of the newer WotLK files would transfer from .BLP directly into a ruined .PNG file. I had thought this problem solved when I switched to BLP2TGA Converter. When I transferred .BLP files into .TGA, they remained untarnished. However, transferring the .TGA image back into a .BLP using BLP2TGA resulted in the old issue of horrible lines resurfacing. So, here I sit, frustrated, as after wasting time editing an image, I can not use it because of this irritating conversion issue.

So, anyone know a program that converts .BLP to a photoshop-friendly image file and back again WITHOUT this f@cking problem? >.<

The file is most likely correct. Its MWCS not being able to display them right. Try it ingame.

You should use the newest versions. BLPConverter is supporting WotLK in version 7 I think.

Thanks for the reply. Its not MWCS, in game the problem persists. I tried that BLPconverter.exe the one that runs with command prompts but upon installation it has shown itself to be a huge pain in the ass. Theres a step that asks you to create a shortcut of the BLPconverter and then change the target to have " /p /?" after BLPconverter.exe. Unfortunately, when you do that, if you hit "OK" or "Apply" it screams at you for being a dork and trying to do something invalid. Suffice to say I'd rather put my face through the wall then look up another guide to fix the problem for the program I got from searching for a guide and help for the original problem. I'd end up seven guides and programs from now and the problem would STILL be there. lol

Ehm .. On that issue with the shortcut: Just don't do such shit. Use it from CMD like you should. Or add quotes at both, start and end of the string. It should work then too.

I've been doing so. Its very hit-and-miss.
Sometimes when I convert the BLP to PNG/whatever format to begin with, its ruined, other times with other programs/versions I'll be able to go BLP-->Other format, but when I convert it back its screwed.
I can't seem to find one that wants to do both without corruption. ._.

@Schlumpf: Haha alright. I'll leave it be. I'll check back in with any improvements/updates after I test more things. Thanks again.

Eureka! I found a program that seems to convert files between BLP and *insert format here* with relative ease and with no errors (yet)!

Its actually a very nice and well put together program, its simply named "Texture Converter."
You can download it here if any of you are interested in using it.
    Thanks for your help guys.
