Swift Razzashi Raptor --> Swift Spectral Tiger

I recently got my hands on a Swift Razzashi Raptor, but I don't like the skin,
However it's a pretty rare mount so I want to edit it into something you dont see everyday, namely the swift spectral tiger, now I've read some guides, but something always goes wrong, my mywarcraftstudio crashes, I do somethin wrong, whatever. So I'm requesting an MPQ from someone who knows his shit, will award +Rep, thank you in advance.

MyWarcraftStudio crashes recently when you click on a .m2 file ( I don't know why )

If you want just the Swift Razzashi Raptor come to a Swift Spectral Tiger you could change this by editing the dbc files

You could : -Edit the Spell.dbc and change the id of the creature raptor mount to spectral one but you can't edit spell.dbc that easily cause it's a huge archive
- or edit the CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc there you can change the displayid of the Razzashi Raptor and make it using Swift Spectral Tiger m2 and blps

I have MPQ programs, running a mac, is it possible i can edit this for any other mounts i would like to use. Like the paladin mount.

Of course you could, but for editing dbc I suggest you to use Taliis ( at last you can edit everything but spell.dbc T_T ).
MPQ programs would help you to put the new dbc file in the patch.

What to do ? just open the CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc and find the display_id of what you want to have, keep an eye on this line, and put the same numbers on the line of what you want to change ( a different one obviously ), change everything but the display_id ( the first column ).

- First solution ( boring ) -

Now how to find a display_id ? first you can search for the entry of the creature you want to mount ( for swift spectral tiger ) it's 24004, you can find these ids on wowhead if you know the way ( just see the link of the creature Swift Spectral Tiger, the entry is with the link ).

Then the display_id, well if you have a private server database you just search for the entry of your creature and the dispaly_id will be there, but as you're asking and doing that things I think you don't have one.

- Second solution ( the best ) -

Or you search for the name of one blp that goes on the creature you search in the CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc :

Example : I search the Swift Spectral Tiger displayid, I open MywarcraftStudio, click on the CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc that I have extracted from the patch-enUS.MPQ before, and put on my new patch-enUS-5.MPQ, a window called "Database Cache" just open to show you the very insides of the dbc,

there is a little blank white space near the "Find" button just here you write "Spectral" and it will find the SpectralTigerRidingArmored texture, on the first column of this line there is the display_id and the line you were looking for !

All the texture aren't always that easy to find, most of the time you'll have to go in the Common.MPQ or patch.MPQ to find the good names for your blp mounts.
These files will have a Treepath that will be like that "Creature\XXXXXX\xxxxx.blp"
the "xXXx..." is the name of your creature folder, it will contains all the texture that can be use with the same model, you'll only find blp in Common.MPQ no .m2 ( it can prevents you from crashing MWS )

I update the archive I've made I think I choose the wrong model for the Swift Spectral Tiger ( I think I choose the basic Spectral tiger ) you should test them, thought I don't really know the difference but we'll see...
