Are DBFilesClient edits no longer working?

I'm using WoW 3.0.9, and the 3.0.9 Kynox fix. I recently edited Maps.DBC to add some new WDTs/ADTs using Taliis, made the MPQ and threw it into my data folder...

I fire up WoWMe and the box shows up, but WoW immediately closes as soon as it opens; wowme stays open and does nothing but leave a depressing looking DOS box on my desktop.

Are DBCFilesClient edits caught and shut down by WoW immediately or is there a fix for it?

Edit: When running without WoWMe, I get this (expected) error.

They work, if done right. And don't use WoWME.

I'll head back to the drawing board... Should I go DBC -> CSV -> DBC or is there a recommended program?

What do you recommend as far as MEFs as well?
