Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to change certain spell casting animation (like cast spell omni). Like changing Blast Wave's SpellCastOmni to BattleRoar or something.
Maybe DBC?
Thankee in advance.

Yes, you can change spells. I'm brand new at editing, so I don't know much, but while I was playing around I was able to edit some spells. Unfortunately I don't know how to put my models into WoW so you'll have to do that on your own. If you know how to put models into WoW please tell me. ^_^
Yes, I know how to change models, my question was the casting animation.Originally Posted by Senriaa

(Battle roar is a quicker, more solid version of the emote roar, it's used in a warrior's shouts)
Indeed you can.
The Age of Exploration is over. Now is the Age of Creation.
Ooh- you can? How would you edit the Blood Elf Male casting animations? They're awful, at the moment.
if you are using mywarcraftstudio put the patch-x.mpq in data folder (x=the number you named it).Originally Posted by Senriaa
He is asking what you would change to do that, not where you would put it afterwords and if you could change it.
i.e. WTB instructions on how to change the animations, not how to implement them once they are changed.
nothing is impossible? you could redo a whole armorset but not change animation, practice my friend, no i dunno how but try...
SNEAK SNEAK STAB STAB - Rogue inc.
I know how to play rogue, and i dont have to make a pvp vid to show it.
yes is possible, no1 of the guides posted here can help you... so think and try yourself

I've already started on the quest to "learn myself" like I did the armor editing (and texture editing...ah yes..I remember when all the textures I worked so hard for turned out completely no-color black)Originally Posted by OxF.6b
Currently, I've tried several programs to try to edit the DBC so I can make the "Spell Cast Omni" have the same integer information as "Battle Roar" but I can't seem to find a way to keep all the names of the DBC from turning to #ERROR when I load the edited DBC to the folder. I *will* find out how to make my character roar while using an omni spell!
I WILL!
Macroman earns my respect. I applaud you for your efforts. He thinks for himself and is always seemingly willing to try stuff out on his own. Chances are he'll get there, and I'm already sure he's better than most of you people who just want step by step instructions to do things. Lazy bastards.

Though I'm not the best of editors (yet) I fully support this. Kudos to you Macro and goodluck on your endeavors.Originally Posted by A_Snake01
Oddly enough I know one way you would do this. It requires 3ds max though... I read a book about this and watched a few tutorials of people making MMOs with it. Character animation is one of the things you do with it. I figure you would somehow switch the animations with spell cast omni and battle roar. I'd try to help figure it out but I dont have 3ds max.
Good luck with the DBC editing, you're persistant and I'm sure you'll get it.
Can you tell me the major flaw in your idea here? Think about it for a bit.. It's a big one.Originally Posted by Warlock in Space

i think his idea is somthing look like wc3 model edit... open the .m2 with 3ds and now i don't remember where but you can find all animations of that model you can modify the animation like make new and some other...
