    [QUESTION] I'm new, go easy.

I've already got the file for my swap, (Gnome male to Human male) but i don't know where to put the file i have. I'm BRAND new to this type of stuff, feel free to flame if you must but a nice answer would be massively appreciated.
(Just need to know where to put patch-v.mpq for Gnome male to Human male)
    Thanks,
    -Indy

You might have to take into account that i have NEVER done this, a list of detailed steps would be amazing! There's a patch-2.MPQ, do i just swap that for the new one?

Not sure if this is going to be your problem or not, but the MPQ you are adding into your Data folder needs to be a different name then other patch-*.MPQ that may be there. I read it is picky on the naming. patch-"letter or number here." must be lowercase letters, and MPQ must be caps. Mine didnt work at first since MPQ was lowercase.

Not true. A patch can be named "patch-G.MPQ" for example.
Anyway, just place the MPQs in your \Data\ folder (making sure that none are named the same), place wowme.exe in your WoW folder, and run wowme.exe. You do NOT need to press F8 at the login screen. You can, if you want, but it's not required.

NOTE: MPQs are read in sequential order. ie. you have 2 different model edits of the same model, 1 in patch-5.MPQ, and 1 in patch-6.MPQ. The one in patch-6.MPQ is used, because 6 > 5 (same goes for letters).
