helmet fix

i changed my tauren to night elf and my helmet is to big for my head anybody know how to fix this?

Just go into the files and find your helmet, find the _NeM extension for it and rename it to have the _TaM extension.

DBC files can be found in the enUS folder in a mpq that you can acces through MWCS. Nvm the NeM/TaM files. DBC files are very hard to edit so I suggest you read the guides on it first. If you find the guides hard, dont bother, it's not worth learning for only the helmet. Just tuntick show helmet in the UI settings.

You don't need DBC. Item\OBjectComponents\head\XYZ_NeM, rename to XYZ_TaM. Easy.

He gave XYZ as an example since you never specified what helm you're trying to change.

So in order to change say a Warbringer Helm on a Tauren Male (Warrior Tier4) so it fits a Gnome Male what would I be looking for in the head folder, and after I find it what do I do?

Edit: Alright so being that it isn't to hard to figure out after you spend some time looking at it, I believe I found the warrior tier4 helm models. Now how do I rename the TaM(Tauren Male?) to GnM(Gnome Male?)

The concept here is that you've done a race change. You want to make the model fit the race change, but keep it named such as that the server thinks it's getting the right one. So you find the model which fits your race swap, then rename it to the model of the race you were before(what the server thinks you are.)
