[REQUEST/QUESTION] Merciless Gladiator's Fist to Warglaive

Reason I'm making this thread is because I could not reply to the original post, and I got a question about it, here it is anyway:

As you can see in the thread this is a WDB edit for someone who need Merciless Fists into Warglaive, I downloaded one of the links at the end, but I can't seem to get it to work.. Do I need to upload my own Itemcache and someone edit it for it to work? Or am I doing something wrong? I simply replace this downloaded file with my original, but nothing happends and items seems to disapear as when I inspect someone they're completely naked (as if WoW makes it's own new file).

If anyone can tell me how I get this to work, or make me this edit I would be highly appreciated and I will ofcourse award you with a +Rep..

I found some WDBs are not compatible and didn't spend enough time figuring out why, but yeah. Here's a way to do it yourself! =)

- Get Glitchy's MES ( download in the thread linked above, gotta love our cow! (Glitchy) )

- Click on WDB edit

- Select your Itemcache.WDB

- choose your current weapons in the "from" and warglaive in "to"

- set the Sheath to 1 so they sheath in the back

- press convert for each weapon you swap.


Here's a little more info;


Warglaive Main hand - DisplayID = 45479
Warglaive Off hand - DisplayID = 45481

Thanks for the info, just one quick thing? How to I know which Warglaive is right in the list? There's 3 different versions, and I can't seem to match the Item ID's either.

In glitchy's mes when you've got the warglaive selected in the "TO" box, just press DisplayID and a number should pop up in the box below. That's the ID's I'm reffering to.

Item IDs are the numbers the server use to identify items. DisplayIDs are the numbers your WoW Client uses to know which files to load.

Sry for posting on an old topic, but i have question about just that. How do i apply the change?

I mean is there somewhere a file which i should put in my wdb folder or?
This is just because i couldnt make it work =(

If you follow his instructions it should work.

If you edit your itemcache the way he said to, it should already be where it's supposed to be (so you don't have to move it anywhere).

Finally, if all else fails, delete your itemcache, start up wow and log all the way into wow. Log off and try following his instructions again.

Note: WDB edits will not show up on character selection screen, but will show up once you log in.
