I'm interested in starting to edit models and the such, but I'm too scared of getting banned, so I wanted to know if you could make a trial account, edit characters on the trial, and if you get caught, will your main account also get banned, since the information for both is on the same computer?

Correct. Unless you edit something to make it obvious, like terrain, then you wont get caught.

If u model edit from Veinness (spelling) im sure they wont mind as there has been many videos with model edited characters and they have been posted on the official wow forums too, e.g. Krymu 4 and 5.
