So I am new to model editing. I found a thread for all the appropriate programs. So now my question is about posibility of the how to.

There have been alot of new posts for model editing to make certain or all races into the female eradar. Which is great! but when i use the one for tauren only it wont work, and i've been having this problem with many of my model edits, i have the latest model edit fix, so i dont understand. Further when i use the one that changed all the races into eradar no problem what so ever. So i want to try to venture to do it myself. This may be a disaster though.

I want to make a tauren into an eradar, successfuly, furthermore i want to be able to wear my own armor, not that the model edits out there with her wearing the skimpy outfit isnt nice. But.... i still wanna see my own armor on myself. I'm fine with every tauren female looking the same the deversity of the race isnt important.

So i assume to acomplish this i would need to use photoshop or some other program to make her wear underwear, or nothing at all, whichever, so that i can see my armor.

I assume this is right, if anyone can help me it would be very much appriciated!!!!!

I hope one of these suggestions helps you:

1) make sure that its in the format patch-#.MPQ, where # can be any letter a-z and any number 3-9

2) make sure that the p in patch is not capitalized and that the .MPQ is capitalized

3) make sure that the patch ins in your data folder and that the model edit fix is in the wow root folder (same folder as wow.exe)

4) try another patch and see if that works, sometimes patches are broken, make sure that you have the latest MEF

Sorry if some of these are obvious, but those are the issues most people seem to have.

also i have problems with other edits the only other edit that works for me is the, druid feral forms pack. I've double checked to make sure that those things were right, i'll look them over a third time i cant imagine that they wouldnt work only for me.

But in addition i would like to make the eradar work the way other race conversions are, so that i can wear my own armor.

Right off the bat I know you have to capitalize the .MPQ. Capitalization matters.

yeah the druids of azeroth. Thank you for pointing that out i must have missed it.

But is it possible to make a model edit that looks like the eradars, but works the same way as other model edits do, meaning again that you can wear your own armor, etc. I assume there would be editing involved in the image of the eradar and then replacing it with the edited version. But then would there be horn/ helm fix problems with the tauren if i edited it that way? The model edits above seem to work well theres no problem with horns since it just over rides everything.

The druid of azeroth should work. Make sure you have the latest version. If it doesn't work its probably because it uses an old treepath that Blizzard has changed, see the my warcraft studio guide. I can't try to see if it works, because my friend is currently leveling my druid.

I think there is a guide on putitng armor on creatures. I'll take a look for it in a bit.

alrighty so i checked everthing out again everything is capitilized or lowercased if needed and everything is in the right folder, i'm not getting errors when i load the edit from the second link, it just doesnt change anything at all.

A bit confusing, so you are having trouble with the druids of azeroth all of a sudden. I can try the latest version later when my friend gets off my account.

which is why i'm so confused that certain edits wont work.
I made sure everything was supposed to be in the right place etc. but certain edits wont work for me, no error msg, wow loads fine, it just doesnt edit like its supposed to. I would like to make one of the eradar or find one that only works for tauren, and preferably that i can wear my armor on. I would assume whatever problem i'm having with this one

is the same problem i'm having with other edits like, the BE to high elf edit, etc. I ofcourse am Not trying to run these with the edit that changes every race into eradar. that would be silly and defeat the purpose.

i want to thank you for the help you've given me so far, again i know i'm confusing. i'm trying to explain myself in the best way i can.

I was thinking that if i was unable to find an edit that worked for me i could edit it myself using mywarcraftstudio, etc. But considering the problems i'm having i would probably only make things worse. Which is why i'm hoping to fix the problems i'm having with the mpq files.

GOOD NEWS! i got it to work for my tauren in red... so now i just have to figure out how to make it work so i can see my armor instead of the outfit shes wearing by default.
