    Model Edit isn't working

So I'm using Chazzwazza's MEF, and it works fine, but when I log into WoW (I press F8 at login), my character is a BElf female, who is supposed to be a white worgen. I went into the data, and it looked fine except for that it had two underscores. I tried using .mpq and .MPQ with the underscores, and .mpq and .MPQ without, but it still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

The format is patch-#.MPQ. You do not need to press F8 on Chaz's fix. Capitalization matters.

    Here's what it looks like:

    patch-3_BEF-WorgenWhite_.MPQ

    It should be "patch-3.MPQ".

I got an error that 3d acceleration could not start up, and when I tried again, it went black like it was starting it up, then comes back with no error screen.

I tried using the Find option on the MEF while the file was patch-3.MPQ, but it still didn't start up. What else should I update? The MEF said it was for 2.4.0

Well there is MEF 2.4.1 now. Doubt that will change much.

Okay, let me detail it to you.

In the Data folder, is the patch-3.MPQ. In the main WoW folder that leads to Data and the like, is the MEF.

    Have I done something wrong?

It doesn't sound like you have done anything wrong. Did you make the patch yourself. Also what happens when you launch wow from MEF? Is that when you get the error?

I didn't make the patch myself.

When I launch it from MEF, the screen goes black as if it was normally loading WoW, comes back to the desktop for a split second, then tries again, then comes back to the desktop.

When I try it from the official WoW shortcut, I get this error:

    World of WarCraft (build 8125)

    Exe: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
    Time: Apr 14, 2008 5:35:55.734 PM
    User: xxxx
    Computer: xxxxxxxx
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This application has encountered a critical error:

    ERROR #131 (0x85100083) File Corrupt
    Program: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
    File: DBFilesClient\CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc

The rest is too gigantic to post.

I tried launching from the MEF just now, the screen went black then back to the desktop, and that's it.

I tried another model edit, Human Female to Eredar Female, and it worked. I guess the BElf one just didn't work.

Thanks for a ton for help,+Rep
