Yes it is possible. You will have to upload your item cache with the gun --> bow conversion you wish and someone will probably use Glitchy's MES to convert it. I would say you could do it yourself, but Glitchy's MES is a .exe. If someone does this conversion for you, you will be able to use it as it does not require the Model Edit Fix.

I would get 5 posts and come back when you can offer +Rep for the conversion.

Mmkay, I'll go ahead and try and find the item cache #'s.... And If I had something to contribute I'd post it >_< Not too good at finding things myself (imho it's better not to post than to post a repost).

Does finding the item cache require a .exe as well? I'm not seeing how to do this (I searched, didn't find anything). If someone could point me in the right direction it'd be much appreciated.

Nope look in your C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Cache\WDB\enUS. It will be some version of that path.

Mmkay, and what do I do now? I assume it has something to do with gameobjectcache.wdb?

Actually, it would be your itemcache.wdb.

    1) upload itemcache.wdb
    2) post link here
    3) state what you want to change and what you want it to be changed to
    4) wait for someone to do it
    5) give that person rep when they upload the new file

You can edit your itemcache.wdb on a mac through hex editing. Although it is quite tedious, its the only way I know of doing, on a mac. Or just do what the blackmage said and upload your cache, someone will change the model, and reupload the cache for you.

Here, Throw this MPQ in your data folder and it will change the S3 gun -> S3 bow.

(Make sure the .MPQ is capitalized, Macs care about capitalization.)

Doh >_< It still fires like a gun, just with a bow skin. Did I do something wrong?

Lol, I dunno how gun/bow/crossbow model swaps work, but I bet it's because of the ammo you use.

I'll look into it, do a bit of researching, but don't get your hopes up on me, just in case
