Im quite new to model edit fixes and I am wondering if they rewrite any of your default wow files,
so that you should make a backup of them before running it, and need to restore them pre-patch, or anything like that?
Thanks!

No, they won't hurt your data. Just make sure that you take your fake patches (ie. model edits) out of your data folder before patching and you should be fine.
idk, i get scared when i do stuff like this, cause A i have no idea what im doing and B) if it does mess stuff up, i dont want o have to re install the game and all the patches just because of stuiped file error.......i backed up my entire data folder anyway
u get an errorbut there are patch-x.mpg´s in some forum´s to fix that problems.
dont hard too fix, if you forgot to remove ur custom data files
Okay last question, will I get that error right away or with the next patch?
Thanks.
You will get the error when you load the game for the first time after applying a new patch.
I'm guilty of doing this on patch 2.4. I forgot i had some model edits on my g/f's laptop and corrupted my WoW installation.
Saved myself by copying my WoW installation from my Desktop PC onto and external drive and copied it over the top of the laptop one.
