Yes, don't forget to capitalize .MPQ and put all the files in your WoW root folder and the patch in the WoW data file. Also try it with a patch that you know works on the model editing section (so that you know that it isn't a problem with your patch). Also you could download the MEF which is simpler to use from the bots and programs section. Here are the directions:

The new version allows you to load any file you like. To do so enter the name in wowme.cfg (eg: orctonightelf.mpq). IT MUST INCLUDE .MPQ!!
You can comment the log file using a #.
The mpq file needs to be in Data/

    1) Run WoW with WoWME.exe
    2) Once you reach the login screen, hit F8 to restore changes & unload DLL
    3) Login
    4) Have fun

Try that. However if that doesn't work then you may have a problem that many other users are having. Their wowme.exe just doesn't work, no matter how hard they try. Make sure you have the latest version of wowme.exe.

    Hope it works.

these are the steps i done

    -extract the files in my wow folder: wowme.cfg | wowme.exe | wowme.dll

-i've put the patch file in the data folder and named it "patch-6.mpq"

-opened the wowme.cfg and wrote there "patch-6.mpq"

    -started wowme.exe

    *Puff*

    game closed

EDIT: i opened teh wowme.cfg and wrote "# patch-6.mpq". then wow starts but i had the normal model without changes. then i'Ve renamed it to "patch-6.mpq" and i had the same problem like before. game closed before ive reached the login screen.

it had always worked before with this mpq

Is it a .m2 edit or a .wdb edit?
