Alterac Mountains

Oh, has been long time since i posted here here is new material from my RP server CoA Lore time? yes!

[note: you may want to read the additional server lore to understand better what's going on here, this lore piece is part of the first campaign of our lore.]

After the betrayal of the Syndicate at the hands of Lord Falconcrest, that rebelled and kicked out Lord Aliden and allied himself with the Forsaken, the Syndicate now is even more shadowy and dangerous than before, even tough they lost all their southern strongholds.

Even tough Lord Falconcrest managed to kill with a trap King Galen Trollbane during the battle of Alterac, the battle ended as a draw. The forces retired seeing the massive onslaught that was going anywhere near a real victory.

Lord Aliden found himself with a growing number of refugees and ex-syndicate soldiers that sworn loyalty to him as heir of Alterac... and he made a choice, to amend the errors of the past, now understanding the true corruption that lied in front of him.

Lord Danath Trollbane with a group of elite cavalry is helping now Lord Aliden to recapture Alterac city, and the Syndicate is doing whatever it takes to thwart their efforts. but Lordaeron's heroes are fighting restlessly.

Meanwhile, Lord Artimus, a high ranked general of the Forsaken Army, is building Venomshroud Keep on the other side of the mountain, using the Syndicate as a decoy to let them do.

As the War of Lordaeron kept raging, the forces of Sylvanas kept hold of half Alterac Mountains, besides, the Lordaeron and the remnants of the Alterac Kingdom started to rebuild the once great city of Alterac (note: the roofs of alterac buildings may be changed to orange according the color of the nation of Alterac.)

Now the region is split between the old city of Alterac, main fortified facility of weapon production of the New Lordaeron, and Venomshroud Hold, the mighty stronghold that the Forsaken managed to build. The land between those mighty forces has been utterly devastated by the rampaging war.

NOTE: this is a Realm VS Realm area, there will be weekly events to choose who is in control of that region and the land will give extra income to the kingdom and guilds that contributed to conquest it. The region grants an income of 15% to Stone and Metal (Not Wood and Crystal because alterac has almost none.

Now here the screens, the work is 90% done, only details are left.

Ok so model placing is nice, roads are fine, blast marks are well done, but that scarlet roofs are way to shocking. I think blue with that gray would do much better.

Is the standard redridge roof (a bit darkened) anyway i had a similar idea, to make new wmos for Alterac buildings with orange-greysh roofs (as it is the national color)

Very nice, but i agree, would be better with blue roofs on the buildings.
Also, if i may ask, what program do you use to make it/version of wow?

Great as always =), but what I think it lacks is some doodads that really stick out, but in a contributing relationship to the theme.

True xD he did some mostly stuff on the keep (that i will show as soon as i have screens) and i'll credit him there :P the rest has been redone heavily since Hypno's help (mostly because his noggit went crazy after the keep <.<)

I've came up with the decision of reskinning completely the wmos and making new ones with both walls and roof snowy :P
