The only thing he said is being removed is the "taxi" files, if I'm not mistaken?Originally Posted by GtR[Mo**]
IMO Altering TaxiPathNode is not exploring... Which is my main passion and mostly the reason I started MC... Its kinda lame to just change it and *fly* to where ever, and it takes away any excitment in it at all.. Id only use it for a last resort if you cant make it to a place other wise (as in GM island)Originally Posted by A_Snake01

Don't get me wrong, I love exploring, but when you've seen every way of getting into something, and you just want to get there, you can do this. But that's not even what I'm getting at. When you switch terrain files around, the placement of it gets kind of fuzzy. In the case of GM Island, you need to take a zep there, and in the case of Programmer/dev island you need to use the same method.
this cant happen ever... blizzard sent a letter to every1 a while back that said that model changing was ok they. sure they didnt say that that exact but it pointed out to it so why would they just cancell it? yeah i agree the fir into the darkpportal thing was kind of an "unfair advantage over other players" (a warining thing that u get if u mountain climb or something from blizzard) but otherwise, how does it effect other players? -gigleOriginally Posted by A_Snake01

What if 40 mages all get the same altered mpq to take a zepplin to stormwind/ironforge, peek out over the edge and POM pyroblast players who have just come out of battlegrounds? Or set it to circle around the entrance of ZG and just sit there and nuke people?
What if your raid group sets the path to near AQ, so they can just log out on the zepplin and be semi-close to the instance when they log in without worrying about getting ganked?
You can definitely use path editing to gain an advantage over others.
You can definitely
Model changing as with any other exploit has is downside, it can be used to exploit content in the most extreme of ways, in both pvp and pve. If not used malicously it affects no one, but as ive stated before in a game designed on jealousy and greed (Always wanting to have something better and have a bigger epeen is mainly what wow thrives on and thus causes addictions) Will cause people who know how to exploit in such a manner.. You cant stop exploiters in this type of game. They never could, and never can. You can change and change and change game files, geometery, game mechanics even but 7 million people tryin to gain an advantage > Blizzard's development team. End of story.
