Please guys do not turn this into a flaming war. This will be a major strike against modelediting, there is no doubt about that. The publicization of WME, Noggit, and the other edits is not really whats going to have destroyed MEing. Blizzard has made several attempts. And its not like WME and Noggit are the first BG model edits. I used to remove the gate in AB (did i once, i rarely exploit), or there is the classic campfire->dark portal. Blizz has made several attempts. This just looks like itll be the most successful

mmm? What way is that? You do realize that in patch 2.3 the Model Edit fix is dead? Sure Chaz might find a way but not a way that wouldn't include injecting a DLL into WoW.exe and detouring their code. It's a fair bit of code and it has to be safe for warden if he can be bothered to do that then

I would suggest if you really love model editing then just keep a version of current wow where you still can and go on a private server.

I have nothing against DK, infact he has contributed soo much to this site. He has a point, at least he shared his knowledge with everyone...

However, it could have hurt ME and it's future, but that is just me.... and I know hardly anything about ME.

Anyways, I dont think flaming DK will help any either...

I don't see why Blizzard can't just put the No-man's Land debuff in more places instead of shoving this lit firecracker up the model editing community's ass.

Because they can't put a no man's land debuff on the battlegrounds, and hordes of nitwit scriptkiddies hacking the landscape of the battlegrounds is what motivates blizzard to make changes.

Why don't we all stop flaming and instead try to work together to fix the problem ahead? I guess most people who read this topic are interested in Model Editing and would therefor like to keep doing it after 2.3, instead of fighting over sh*t here to be quite frank maybe we should start working on an solution?

Yes let's blame a change on ONE MAN, I really don't think that a single person could have caused this, if so then DK is a legend for someone being so great at edits blizz noticed. There's other places that people find edits and such not only here, we aren't responsible for the actions of others and neither is DK. How about finding a work-around for this so we can continue to edit. I'm a big fan of model skinning and if this disables that I wish for a fix, not a flame war over the cause of the change.

Listen, its not kunga's fault. Its the fault of everyone misusing what he released. Kunga's released alot from what I can tell, and I don't think he deserves to be flamed.

Files were re uploaded by another user. I was planning on leaving and took down my files. When I said I am glad it is getting nerfed, I was not overly referring to it never being possible ever again. As you and everyone else should know, there is always a way. They can't stop us. They can make it very very hard, but they can not stop us. When I get bored of WoW, I model edit, thus, I still do care, and we all will find a way to do it, together.
