I can't figure out how to remove the Worgen model. I dislike it so much, and I've tried all the packs, I'm not really sure what you mean by optional. Btw this is for Tauren Cat Form.

That is because at the moment the Worgen is not optional. As Andrige wrote in his post:

Meaning you'll have to wait to get rid of the Worgen.


By the way, I absolutely LOVE the Worgen! Sooo sad Blizzard doesn't use that model more often.

And Panzer, you could use MyWarcraftStudio and delete the Worgen models from the mpg

as of the last patch. (voice chat) all my feral forms seem to have no weapons . am i the only one with this problem?

I can understand why you didn't want to use the worgen form, it's cool and all but it's just it isn't really "Druidy" for lack of a better word. However considering you pretty much re skinned current models ingame, why didn't you just choose one of the current catform model in game to reskin for the tauren form? Like the lynx (night elf model) or the high shouldered lions (winterspring skittle sabers).


Still, I love your bear / travel form and your shift sprite. I just use a different model for my catform.

You can override the Worgen model in the same way that you override the base models.

Simply put, choose the model /skin you want for your catform as rename it as a higher # patch than Andrige's MPQ file.

It works fine with Andrige's pack, granted the catform skin isn't as well done as Andrige's other skins but I'm happy with it.

Read the FAQ, I'm aware that the other feline models are better than the in comparison very non-rugged looking Cheetah model which has no mane whatsoever, but I'm having some issues. (Although the screenshot you linked seem to showcase a reskinning on the model, which makes me wonder a bit). I could investigate a bit, we'll see...

How do you get the other guy's cat form to override Ambridge's (talking to Sader's post)? I've just got the tauren pack, and I downloaded the cat-only file from the topic you linked. Ambridge's two are labelled patches 8 and 9, with the cat form I want over the worgen as 10, yet I still get the Worgen.

What's wrong?

Edit: Note, I can get either one to work by themselves, either the reskinned Night Elf cat, or Ambridge's stuff, but I can't get Ambridge's stuff with the cat over top of the Worgen.

Edit 2: Ok, I've determined I can't change the cat form I want from it's original name - patch-3.MPQ if I want it to work (while Ambridge's stuff isn't in there)

Yet, if I just throw all three files in together, Ambridge's overrides the cat form I want... what can I do?

...patch values work from 1-9.
The patch you want to have is 10, which basically means it doesn't work.

Should make it:
9 SPELL and SOUND
8 The Catform you wanted
7 TAUREN
6 NIGHTELF (if you want Alliance to have aswell)

Hmm. Just discovered something with the Night Elf version of this - since the Night elf Cat form and normal Lynx mobs (Eversong) share a model, the Night Elf feral pack will actually replace the wild Lynx mobs (and any Lynx hunter pets) with Worgen. Interesting.
