awesome, just completely awesome
awesome, just completely awesome
Get off your lazy ass and update this shit.
Lazy? Spend over a year with reskinning and taking in suggestions and a lot of crap for that matter and you'll be in my shoes. I'm just doing other stuff now, see? And it's indirectly related to this I tell you, right now I'm learning how to make a website at a gaming-designing university so I can actually be better at this at some point.
And I plan on developing it to have my portfolio, this package here, my game I'm working on, my portfolio and hopefully a blog of my own.
If you or anyone think I'm just lazy, then just learn it and do it yourself.
The community is here for you to learn from.
P.S I'm not actually that irritated at this guy, he's clueless (as 80% of the rest of the internet), but just wanted to say what's going on
Had a good year, everyone?
All good Andrige, I think the coolest thing about you, is you admission that there is a lot more happening for you right now in RL, but you "Still" take the time to hit up MMowned to let the community know where your at, and talk about future endeavors. take your time.
I have taught myself how to Extract files from an MPQ, and edit them in Photoshop... I just need to master the part where you put them in there "Own:" MPQ so that they over right the original file :P .. working on Druid Aquatic form![]()
Anyways .. will let you know how that goes .. and again .. thanx got checking in :P
Teh Gez (òÓ,)_\,,/
Hehe Gezus, if you find a way to get the Alternative Tauren Lynx working too, I'll build a small shrine for you ;-)
Well putting aside like 20min a day to see what people think (this pack is still my little baby so) is not really a big issue. All good Andrige, I think the coolest thing about you, is you admission that there is a lot more happening for you right now in RL, but you "Still" take the time to hit up MMowned to let the community know where your at, and talk about future endeavors. take your time.

And if it doesn't really contribute to anything or in style with "I've heard this one before, and it's on the main-page", I just ignore.
Anyhow...
I can make a short compilation of stuff you need to consider when editing or re-vising stuff for WotLK:
- They've added new files, namely .skin, .anim:
.skin - It's from what I've gathered is due to the new shadow-engine they've added to the game.
On every model you'll find two of those files; <nameofmodel>skin_00.skin and <nameofmodel>skin_01.skin.
Both files respectively are there to make the two different qualities you can have the shadows to be,
so I'm assuming skin_01 for example is for the best quality shadow.
.anim - Here I might very well be wrong but I assume it's Blizzards way of externalizing animations,
and most of the .anims range from a file-ending of _169/_196 to _102 or so.
Perhaps to make stuff easier for them when it comes to updating animations for models?
- When you modeledit for WotLK, you must have all those numerous files of .skin and .anim in order to work,
and in case of .skin (which is like a "contour" of the model but isn't shown besides as a casted shadow)
needs to match the .m2. I've realized this when trying to add stuff like the Dire Furbolg and Tauren Tree of Life.
It crashes since my .m2 models are different from what the .anim and .skin expects as I've adjusted them.
A sad turn of events for me at least, I'm guessing there's an answer out there somewhere but so far I haven't
indulged myself in finding out.
- It's vital that all of these files are correct, you can survive without implementing some .anims but when you for
example sit down (like I did the first time after WotLK came out) and I didn't include all .anim files,
it crashed the game for me.
Well those are my tips for you. How to extract/import stuff you can find yourselves in the Guides and Programs section,
but these are pretty much obligatory to have correct post WotLK.
Also, here's a Nightelf Dire Furbolg skin.
I tried reskinning a bit but I'm gonna be an ass and release this with a larger content update when I'm done with that.

Amazing skins, keep it up!
A question. I no longer have a WoW account, but will be resubing sometime int the next few months so I can't test it myself yet. Will this change just my model or will I see every druid in these?
BTW thanks for these amazing skins I can't wait to play my druid again and try them out.
Every model that uses the same file. (All druids)
Well, .skin files are not for shadows or whatever. They are, what has been the "views" in 2.0. Its just the renderorder of the vertices and their assignment to the bones etc. Anyway: You just need to get those files in. They are referenced the the .m2s (at "nViews", this also says, how many <nameofmodel>skin_<x>.skin will exist, its not always 2).
The .anims are exported animations for emotes etc. As you said, its easier to manage those things if its a extra file. You need to add all .anims so WoW can access those animations if needed. Else it will crash since there is no .anim file. Some models may already have .anim files taking you to the point that animations will be ****ed up if you dont replace those files. Maybe you can see a furbolg dancing like a cat, but since they have a different count of bones, they wont work and result in a crash again.
Conclusion: Just add all those .anim and .skin files. You don't need to change anything in there. Get your .blps in again, swap the new .m2s and the extra files again and everything will work again.
Read. (You wont read this most likely.) Its all outdated here.
Been playing wow for years and this is the first time I've use this.. thank you for everything you've done.. now my druid looks pimp..
