Because, unlike you and me, there are those who use model edits to exploit the game and gain unfair advantages... we are just caught in the crossfire. If you want to blame anyone, blame those who would use model editing with the intent to cheat the game. Even in the start, it was the root of all our troubles, since editing wasn't against the rules at first but was added in because of exploiters.

Thanks m8, worked for me to edit the dwarf skins into irondwarfes skins. I use latest patch and windows 7 and have downloaded all critical updates.

This is how u do it guys

    1. Go to "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\Cache" then copy the "SoundCache-3.MPQ" to a safe place where u can find it.
    2. Remove "SoundCache-3.MPQ" from "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\Cache" so that you only have it in your safe place.
    3. Rename the mpq u want to use (for example "patch-s.mpq") to "SoundCache-3.MPQ" and put it in "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\Cache"

    Your done.

    Frequently Asked Questions,

SoundCache-MPQ is not supposed to be a folder, it is supposed to be a .MPQ file like it is normaly so dont try to exract a mpq to a folder and name it SoundCache-MPQ

I have only tested texture swaps this way, and they seem to work fine. No idea about dbc editing this way or changing models.

model swaps and morphs will no longer work and will crash your game. This also includes mount swaps. The only thing I've been able to get to work is armor/weapon textures + nude. The MPQs you are using must be uncompressed.

    Other

Is it possible to do this with other nude patches? To make them work in 4.0.3?

    If yes, how?
