im on a mac btw, and some other patches do work. but is there anything else you have to do on this one besides putting the patch.9 thing inside the wow/data folder?

I'm sorry but I'm still very new at it and havent even began to approach what takes to swap on macs or work w euroMPQs. If someone posted how in this thread I'd be more than happy to +rep tho, gl

As far as I've encountered (I'm writing this on a mac myself) macs use .MPQ files in the same way Windows does. I can't see any reason why en/gb clients would differ either.
Ensure you have your file in the \Wow\Data folder, named something along the lines of Patch-X.MPQ where "X" is any number from 5-9 or any letter. I would avoid using "4" as this has caused problems with myself and others with Blizzard patches.
While this has not been a problem recently on Windows machines, make sure .MPQ is capitalized. It used to not work if it was lowercase in windows, perhaps the problem is still there on macs.

Do you have other model edits? If you have one that already changes spells, you will nit be able to use this edit as your other edit is overwriting the file spells.dbc. Try removing all other edits from your data folder and try this one. If it works I can help you from there.

oh right, i think its because i renamed the patch to 'dusk shsaman' or something that it doens't work.

can the number be over 9 ? cos otherwise you can only have 4 model edits on any one computer at a time :|
